Is overpowered. It's as simple as that. It should be void walker ONLY. sunsinger should get none of the buffs
It shouldn't work with sunsinger due to the armor buff during radiance which is even higher when using radiant skin.
While in radiance they can take an efrideets spear to the head and live. They can eat a golden gun and live. It takes two golden gun shots to kill a warlock wearing the ram while they are in radiance.
The fact the damn priest class can have higher armor than the tank class WHILE still having blink is also bullshit but whatever
Edit: Warlocks are wearing robes. Titans are wearing future plate armor. Warlocks should never have more armor than Titans.
The pulse rifle changes coming with 2.0 are going to make the ram ever more powerful as armor rating is going to have a large impact on pulse rifle TTK
Edit 2: Havent been told to git gud by somebody I cant absolutely wipe the floor with
Edit 3: seems to be a lot of people calling me a cry baby. The sentiments I tend to have with class/weapon/armor balance tends to be shared by the better pvp players as we want the game to be more balanced. Balance is a good thing and asking for it is also a good thing. Leaving things unbalanced for months is a awful thing as the crucible devolves into a one trick pony which has already happened with warlocks and the ram. Variety and balance is good. Dominanc/overuse is bad no matter what it is that is dominating.

47 RepliesEdited by SiKoMaNTiS: 8/2/2015 3:22:35 PMListen 1) The ram shouldnt give people an armor boost in the 1st place, thats an actual fucking health advantage. 2) Yes it should only be for voidwalkers 3) Take off the increased armor and exchange it for increased agility or something else. A health advantage is completely unfair and has even been banned in competitive tournaments.

2 RepliesI just leveled mine and do not think it's op. My only issue is that a helmet like that should be for a titan and not a warlock.
-
You know what I think a lot of people do when they see a Sunsinger wearing the Ram using radiance without self rezzing? They run and come back to fight an easier battle after it's gone. It really isn't as bad as you're making it seem, stop crying about every single thing that kills you, oh btw, titans can also survive a golden gun shot while using their super, so should that be nerfed also?
-
1 ReplyI'm cool with the armour boost, but there should be a cap. So you can't run max armour and ram and survive things other classes can not. For instance you can run full agility and still have high armour but you'll hit a cap if you run an all armour build.
-
4 RepliesI have played all classes and I see no problem with it.

8 RepliesThe fúck? Armor can't be overpowered.

3 RepliesGet good bitch

The Ram got you down? I'm here for you.

Edited by Aviixe: 8/2/2015 8:25:16 PMAs a warlock with a maxed ram, I think the Ram should've been for titans.
-
6 RepliesWith subtle nudge (a sniper) if you shoot a warlock wearing the ram in the head it won't kill them lol
-
4 RepliesSometimes I wish there was a part in the forums where you can only enter if youre a top tier crucible player. 99.9% of people defending the ram , are just speaking utter BS. ITS OP , there's no denying it .
-
2 RepliesMaybe we should get rid of character classes, and only have one gun type. You know so the game can be fair.
lol get gud. Life isnt fair.
-
3 RepliesI have to agree on the robes point. Warlock wears robes and have more protection than what is clearly heavy plate armour which reduces your speed and maneuverability. Doesn't make any sense. I'm waiting for someone to say 'because space magic'.
-
2 RepliesNever knew it took two golden guns lol...holy hell
-
If you are that worried about not being able to kill a ram warlock during radiance with one shot use the celestial Nighthawk.
-
2 RepliesWell Ram is meant for Voidwalker. Plus he's a WARLOCK! his Armor is Magic/Mystic. Thats how I believe it is. Plus Titans Have Armor/Blessing of Light plus the Void Overshield. Warlocks only have Flame Shield. A Titan with Armor of Light can kill a Warlock with Flame Shield.

U no ram m8?

4 RepliesJesus Christ, The Ram has two perks: Life Steal on all Voidwalker Melees, and extra armor. If you have The Ram on as a Sunsinger, you, right off the bat, lose half the usefulness of this helmet. What does that leave you? A tad bit of extra armor. You have now used your only Exotic slot and you used it to up your armor. Woo-blam!-inghoo. Same thing for Voidfang Vestments. Wearing them as a Sunsinger allows you to always spawn with grenades, but doesn't give you it' s second perk of a better Axion Bolt. You are choosing to use exotics at half their intended use. Honestly, The Ram should be buffed, to trigger on all melees, Sunsinger and Voidwalker, before it gets nerfed. TL;DR It's a -blam!-ing exotic, and half an exotic. Get over it.
-
2 RepliesYour special weapon doesn't outclass a super? Nerf it!!! Your super takes more than one shot to kill their super? Nerf it!!!!!!!
-
I agree. The Ram is just ridicolous, no other exotic like it. No news though that Bungie/Activision favors the Warlock.
-
OP, edit these into your post http://youtu.be/OA1EUrzGyKI http://youtu.be/TLnc0GrUYD4

8 RepliesSo using the ram is cheating but you using voidfang vestments on sunsinger isn't...
-
Radiant skin alone lets you live from a golden gun shot. If you wanted to hit home with a point about golden gun you should have mentioned it lets you tank a golden gun shot when you self res. That being said I don't think it's OP.

The Ram is a little broken. It totally ruins the point of the flux, magnetic, and whatever the Sunsinger one is called grenades. "Oh, you stuck me? I'm perfectly fine."
