There use to be a time when trash talk was fine in games, now every one in a sensitive little pansy.

Edited by Din: 7/31/2015 8:21:30 AMSome things are clearly a joke: Luke Smith. "Throw money at the screen". That was clearly a joke and not intended to be offensive. Even the interviewer said that. But the short bus riders on this community jumped in anger to protest that. Sexism, racism, any form of discrimination is just sad and pathetic. Nobody should have to endure it. The anonymity of the Internet gives little boys (mostly) a sense of security that makes them feel untouchable. And what does the short bus community do? Shrug it off. Get thinker skin. Blah blah blah. This is not a joke.

Actually making comments that are going to get someone riled up whether they be racist, sexist, etc... can just be jokes. People that take everything seriously shouldn't be on the internet.
-
You've got a lot of growing up to do.
-
You do realize that comics who make those jokes professionally take humor very seriously, don't you? Just checking, because essentially you just said the Internet is for ignorant and incompetent twits....
-
If people can't take a joke they need to re evaluate themselves. It's stupid to get worked up over the words of someone who doesn't even know you. Just so you know, what I said does not in anyway mean what you say it does, but to each their own.
-
Not being able to take a joke is different from people taking things too seriously. For example, you just established that not only do You say things you don't mean, you take them too seriously on the Internet. So, according to you, you shouldn't be on the Internet.

Exactly

I remember when halo2 came out, back when Xbox live first was born. The trash talk was thriving it was part of the mental strategy of beating your opponent. Now we all live behind invisible walls so when there is an open mic people can't handle it.
-
That's how I used to make friends. If you look at Mr. fruit, Rhabby_V, and BlueWestlo, they trash talk each other in their videos, but still are a tightly knit group. But this "trash" talk wasn't what people think it was. It was directed at DeeJ. But since there was a womens' clan in the stream, the White knights stepped in and made it a big deal. It's sad though, the white knights are an oxymoron. They want to help all women, but in reality, they stand to show that women are feeble and can't defend themselves.
-
Ah but see, even after the comment to deej people were insult and looking down on the dames of destiny as if they were better human beings. And that is why I make this post. Because it is absolutely pathetic and inexcusable that members of this community will act in that manner.
