My handcannons are gonna change..

Just re read the weapon update. Im so fearfull for my weapons. Handcannons are going to get so many changes. Range and accuracy, mag size, hip fire, damage falloff. Honestly im so scared they are going to be nerfed into oblivion and why? Because one exotic version was to powerfull in pvp. I dont even play pvp and yet my weapons are all getting a nerf. All the weapons I have grinded for from september are going to change all because of a pvp balancing effort that in all honesty will never work. Now everyone is just going to switch to scoutrifles. Im a handcannon guy. Alsways was, always will be. If this makes my weapons useless I can't keep playing. The gameplay in using these guns is what kept me playing all this time and now its all going to change. Please guys dont destroy handcannons.       • They'll be great at close-mid range. You'll come to adapt your play style and have fun with them again, don't worry. This is nowhere near as drastic as auto rifles.

        • Actually a lot will only effect how they're used. No more sniping with hand cannons! Hallelujah! You want your hand cannons to be powerful, we'll get in close and mix it up like you should have always done with a short barreled high impact weapon. As it stands now, if you use anything other than a hand cannon in PvE you're at a disadvantage. This is sad! So many great guns out there but hand cannons have stagger and alpha damage and good fire rates and strong mag sizes. Easy to aim close in and good accuracy even at scout and sniper ranges. Surely you could see the need for a change. I'm looking forward to needing multiple weapons for different situations instead of simply melting everything with fatebringer all the time.

        • They will be more unstable at long range. Expect them to be used at short distances and the need to aim.

        • Honestly, I'm fine. I never used my Up the Ante at long ranges anyway, and I disliked using Thorn. I'm leveling my Hard Light up though because it's going to be amazing.

        • They're still gonna be good, I love hand cannons and you can straight up tell the nerf isn't hurting them that bad lol well the magazine size does suck but other than that not really

        • Actually, all three exotics, and a slew of legendary hand cannons made crucible just the absolute worst. It was never about a single person with a single weapon, the statistics show that hand cannons are the most overused gun type in the game right now and Bungie is trying to bring them in line. Soon, we'll have a ton of weapons that will be viable as opposed to just one type.

          • Iono, Pulse seems to be middle of the road with HC and SR being at the two extremes. I'm excited, HC used to overextend itself past its archtype, hard hitting close to mid range.

            I'm actually mildly excited about it. If you're a gamer, you know all about adapting. Yeah, we have to 'relearn' hand cannons, but I'm okay with that. I look forward to tweaking around my play style.

            • I just want my Fatebringer to keep 13 rounds with field scout. I could care less about my other HCs, as I don't play PvP but once in a blue moon anyway.

                • I feel your pain. The exotic hand cannon changes were needed, but the changes across the board may hurt hand cannons to the point where they are no longer fun to use. I'm already getting used to using scouts once I read the patch notes.

                  • its because handcannons are the most used weapons class at the moment, and thorn and tlw are the most used exotics in pvp, bungie wants to keep things changing just like they did with the auto rifle nerf, I assume handcannons in the future will recieve a nerf as well, but the thorn nerf is severely needed seeing as its the most over powered pvp gun
