Titan Sunbreaker "That's So OP"

Before the release of TTK, I would just like to say, I cannot wait for all the Hunters and Warlocks to say that the Sunbreaker subclass is OP when TTK is released. Heres why they are going to say that: A. The Sunbreaker class will be similar to the Bladedancer class, but it will last a shorter amount of time, but with the ability to have greater range with the hammer. Hunters in particular will not like this because they will no longer have the most easy to kill super. B. Most people already see the Titan as an OP class, which it is by far not. The titan has very little range on any of its supers, and ZERO mobility on both. Now that Titans can finally move around and kill things, people will revolt saying that the Titan isn't supposed to be range because it's the "tank" class, which there is little to no evidence that it is in PVP. PVE, yeah it can take some high hits when using the Defender subclass, but in PVP, it is not. There is far more evidence saying it is not the OP class, because there are only about 12 Titans in the top 100 players, and on all the forum polls the titan usually comes in last place on most used. (This is usually because the easier the class is to use, the more fun and rewarding it is, and I don't blame them, dying is not fun.) C. If Bungie decides to give the Titans a blink, the Hunters and Warlocks will be outraged because it's "their thing", and "the lore doesn't support it." And what I have to say to that is BS, I was reading a lovely post by TheInfinityGems about how the Sunbreaker subclass came before the Sunbreakers (warlock gloves). And although it was not official lore, it shows that anything can be possible in lore. If you haven't read it, I will post a link, but adding to what he or she said, maybe the Sun taught the Titan how to blink. Some say "it just wouldn't look right", well imagine a Titan blinking into fire and emerging from fire. (the fire doesn't do damage, it is simply aesthetically pleasing). So any notion of the Titan shouldn't blink because (insert reason) is false, and can be easily shutdown. That being said, that is only IF Bungie gives the Solar Titan blink, which Bungie has said nothing, and probably won't say anything till release.   • The Hammer of Sol can't survive Fist of Havoc with unstoppable (and it's soo satisfying). Also, I think there was a reason why most PVP'ers ran hunters as their primaries...even I started doing that once I started playing more PVP. perhaps other classes need more effective armour during super? I mean golden gun is seriously underpowered.

  • Sunbreaker gets the the same extra armor with the super as the bladedancer or sunsinger. The reason it is a bit harder to kill(for example not one shot with golden gun) is because it is a titan and a titan is supposed to have maxed armor but only the super gives a titan the same extra armor like for other supers

  • As someone who has a character of each class and uses them all equally (gotten them each to max level), I feel like I can confidently say that Sunbreakers are indeed OP. Ability wise, yes the classes are about equal. The titans don't have a blink but they can use their jump to move farther and faster than other classes. Their thermite grenade is easier to aim than the voidwall grenade and has a ton of range, not to mention that the most damage is done when the grenade deploys, which happens once for the voidwall but multiple times for the thermite. The storm grenade is powerful but with a much smaller range. The super, however, is what really takes the cake. The Hammer of Sol is often compared to Bladedance and many people say that they balance out, but this is complete BS. The extra range you get with the hammers elimates the most powerful threat to these supers: shotguns and melee. The hunters can add razors edge for ranger but it is hard to aim and easy to dodge. Also, the hammers explode and deal splash damage, meaning you don't even have to be accurate. furthermore, kills with the hammers can be made to make targets explode, adding even more power to each hammer, something hunters have no equivalent of. Both supers have a perk that allows them to last longer, but the hunters requires them to get kills to extend their time while the titans just gives them extra time. Once again, both classes have an ability to regain health and they are the exact same except that the titans' includes grenade kills while the hunters' doesn't. As for comparison with the warlocks' Stormtrance, both have range but the titans obviously have more range still, allowing them to stay far away from any electrified warlock and destroy them with no real threat to themselves. Plus, with the health regen ability, titans will essentially leave the fight unscathed while the warlock will be hurting badly. Finally, can we put a rest to this whole "agility" thing? Agility is far from useful in most situations as it only slightly increases max sprint speed and jump height. Situations where this helps are few and far between. On my hunter, I always try to put as much as I possibly can towards armor and recovery, recovery for my warlock, and armor for my titan. Agility is not a word to use when describing something you need.

    • The hunters are definitely salty over the fact hammers are thrown and that the class can do similar perks for health and extended duration plus had same armor buff as Arc Blade. However there is no blink like skill. Titans have never been over powered cause till now their suppers were not easy to use in PvP. The hammers can be thrown so and equal armor to Arc Blade make it so the others can't shoot titans down before they use their supper. Looking at the Stormcaller, Arc Blade, and HoS side by side they are all the same in effectiveness when it comes to PvP and PvE

        A.) Uh... it last longer than Blade Dancer... a lot longer. B.) The class that can absorb an insane amount of damage while buffing surrounding players isn't the tank? Right... C.)       • Just watched a SB Titan get 7 kills in PvP with one super. 4 kills were a group behind a wall. Gunslinger can get maybe 5 max (explodisive kills maybe). Blade dancer is about the same and ranged kills are rare. Void Warlock can maybe get 6 if they are all grouped and that is very rare. Tell me this ranged, splash, one hit ko that kills beyond walls isn't OP. Please. Give me your reasons. Yes, it can be shut down. But please, you can leave a damaging wave of fire/heal on ko. Even without the specs of it, the base super easily trumps all others.

        What if sunbreakers get a choice between having good armor and less mobility or less armor and good mobility? It would give sunbreakers the option to either be a turret or a glass cannon. It could also give sunspots a bit more advantages. Also, they could use a good passive. Maybe make it so the last section of your primary's magazine gets firefly.

          This is a main hunter speaking. Titans are underpowered as hell. Bubble gets popped in a split second by almost any other super. Foh may be a one hit kill but so does Nova bomb! Hunters complaining about the titan super. Hammer of sol is not overpowerd. It's one of the better supers but not overpowerd. Hamer of sol may have range but blade dancer has blink and speed to get in close range to kill and blade dancer has some auto target. Yes the hammer may have tracking but it has travel time! Golden gun has more range then Hamer of sol and no travel time! 3 or 4 shots but a ok hunter gets atleast 2 kills even if targets are mid air. Btw Hammer is impossible to hit targets with if they jump! I can go on a rant for ever why titans are not the most OP class. Hunters crying about other classes are no hunters. Hunters survive out in the wild right? You can counter anything with everything. *Edit 1* wow even after almost a month people Like this comment!

            • Hunter was actually my first class, however Titan soon became my favorite. And now that we have Sunbreakers, they're even more fun to use. I can't stand all these stupid, butthurt, children saying, "Sunbreakers need a nerf! OMG they're OP as **** Titan is the new god class!!!!!" Bull crap. Absolute bull crap. You're just mad because Titan's are actually good for PvP and you can't handle that your super is now not the most OP thing in the game. Also, Sunbreakers really don't last super long, on the other hand, all the other activate and use (E.G. Arcblade, golden gun, and radiance) supers last way longer. Anyway, that's just my little rant. Who else gets tired of tees annoying kids raging because they're no longer absolute death machines, and that there's a counter-super for their super.

                • The super is fine the issue is the damage resistance is significantly higher than any other super at 50% vs. blade dancers 75%. This makes sunbreakers (if you can skate on a titan) a faster blade dancer that can throw their knives and melee with them. If the damage resistance was nerfed to 75% it would be fair in crucible but with its state as is it will likely be tier 0 and the new overplayed class.
