Nerf to Wolfpack rounds...MISTAKE
Ghorn was a non issue no nerf needed.
Edit: i got my Gally on the first nightfall after HoW dropped...i had never been kicked from a single raid team before that.
Instead of weakening it, they should have just let Xur sell it.
Edit 2: so after reading the comments, it seems like it should have been a nerf to elitist blam! holes instead of the weapon...that nerf comes from ending the exclusivity of the weapon by letting Xur sell it.
Edit 3: just about every other modification(nerf/buff) made sense to me, (I'm sad about Black Hammer though, but that thing was like immediate god mode on boss battles)

Yeah it's total bullshit. I agree with the hand cannon nerds and the AR buffs, but nerfing the Ghorn was the downfall of Destiny, and maybe Bungie itself. I'm sorry for everyone that doesn't have a Ghorn, but it's RNG. I got my first and only Ghorn out of a Crucible match. Let's just say, if you don't like a RNG based game, please go play something else, don't make it worse for everyone else.

The fact that the nerf was done because of whiny little bitches is more annoying than the nerf itself, and I agree it should have just been sold, all the nerf will do now is make it so that even more people will want all six people to have it maxed, and even more people will add the "must have max ghorn" just to spite the people that got it nerfed. It seems like a very poorly thought out idea, but then again the sheer number of nerfs they are rolling out in a single update when they have very limited time to really test it is also a bad idea...

Honestly, it will still be powerful, just will do less damage The funny part about that is that instead of only wanting say 1-3 Gjallarhorns for Crota, you'll see way more Gjallarhorn only lobbies than before due to said less damage. The elitism will get worse. (I personally don't care as long as you have a decent weapon and yes I have Gjallarhorn)

As someone who has gjallarhorn, im happy about the nerf. I feel like i have to use it and it is annoying how there is no point to use any other exotic.

You don't need complaints to nerf something. And, if you have never been on the forums, there were many complaints about Ghorn. A lot of it revolving around the fact most raid groups rquired Ghorn for the whole team (not to mention max level Guardians because they're probably terrible). When one weapon becomes the end all be all for every situation, something has to be done.

The fact that Bungie is nerfing a weapon due to lfg complaints for raids, where they implicitly said from the outset of the game finding a raid group is on you, is beyond me. How about the developer just institutes a raid match making system for normal raids, at least, instead of heed complaints of those who actually have to go to web sites outside of Bungies network to find a raid group. People who developed organic raid groups through playing with and finding friends I doubt ran into this exclusion problem. Which is what Bungie wanted in the first place.....

Rejections without ghorn were happenning months ago. Did i get rejected because i didnt have one? Absolutely. Did i cry about it? Absolutely not. Was happening to others as well. Did they cry about it? Maybe a few. But finding a fireteam was easy. You just had to put in a lil work. But eventually you found one. Or found a clan. Or group. Or raidfinder, theres a shit ton. Or randoms. Multiple ways to find a team. With millions of players on destiny. If you cant then its your own fault. Not cause of a weapon. The reason there is elitist asking for experience and ghorn is because some want equals. Some are aholes. But most ghorn users ive found never rejected anyone for not having one. The problem is the fact that new noobs can get to level 34 in like a week or two just starting out and theyre trying to do raids with blues and no experience. Well we actually grinded for months and months just to go up 2 lvls. So do you get it yet? Anyone thats crying? Finding a fireteam is easy without ghorn. Should you be doing endgame activities yet? No.

It is a problem and needs to be addressed. People get excluded from activities because of it and it makes a lot the content just trivial and too easy. I think with this nerf plus adding more matchmaking so people can be exclude less the game will be more balanced and get better. I think this nerf will make people consider using different weapons. I know for myself I use ghorn way too much and would like to use other exotics like thunderlord more. I think after the nerf ghorn will still be the best weapon for constant high damage at a fast pace. I think a least we should try this update first before we start freaking out.

Seeing all those Gally praise treads and hate treads about not dropping I can understand why nobody would start a hate tread. That person would be eaten alive by hungry wolf(pack round)s.

3 RepliesHere are a few people who reported Gjallarhorn as being OP: Atheon Crota Skolas Sepiks Prime Seriously though Ghorn is so overpowered that even a 25% wolfpack nerf would keep it as the most powerful heavy in PVE. I actually tried out Dragon's Breath again recently and enjoyed it.

Just cause he sells it doesn't mean everyone will still get it. There will still be people like you making a post complaining about it and it'll never end. The best way to remedy the problem is to get rid of the ghorn from the game.

Another reason way pve in this game is a boring ass grind. Wow it's such a challenge to sit and shoot this crappy bullet sponge boss for an hour. I'm so bored with pve in this game right now and stuff like this just makes me want to avoid it even more. Hey bungie, bullet sponge does not equal challenging gameplay
