Cam someone tell me the story of drstiny in a nutshell?
I still trying.to wrap.my head around the awoken as well as the cobal and their story. Why did everyone die at the reef? Can so eine give me a high level over view of the races and what the heck happened?

2 RepliesEdited by Blaise: 7/13/2015 2:09:27 AMDuring the Collapse (which was when the Traveler started to fade), the people who tried to escape the Earth and leave the Solar System got blasted by a ray of Light that the Traveler emitted. The people hit by the Light became the Awoken that we know today, and the reason they reside in the Reef is because that's as far as they made it away from Earth. The Cabal are just a space army who made their stop on Mars and are currently in a war with the Vex over control of the planet. The Fallen are space pirates who tried to win the war on Earth against the Guardians (and the Vanguards, the elite Guardians). The Hive are incarnations of dark Light and have reemerged from below the Moon to try to take over the Earth by reviving Crota's soul. We all know how this ends. The Vex are machines who warp in and out of time to relinquish all Light from the galaxy, and have tried to take over the Traveler with the Black Garden and it's heart, which is the source of all the Vex out there currently. Humans are humans, and we don't have to talk about them much. Exo's are machines created by the Guardians during the war with the Fallen to help assist the humans. By the way, none of this is 100% accurate, so if I messed up anywhere, feel free to correct me.

It doesn't have a story. It has vague grimiore that can't be accessed in game that's missing enough detail to leave a million questions. Easier just calling it what it is, a pile of crap.
