0.95 KD w/14,000+ kills good?

Global average is about 0.98 on account of suicides, but if you're playing objective..

I am stuck at 1.42 for life now. I have nearly 60,000 kills in the crucible. Nearly 2.5 million medal score. Almost top <1000 DTR score. It's hard to imagine that at one point, I used to be a .7 k/d kinda guy. You know, that guy that finished game 4/20 (Leul blaze it faget). Since this was my first FPS, I was clueless. Absolutely clueless. Now I like to see myself as one of the better players in the game. Certainly not one of the best at all. What I'm trying to say is, k/d is not a definitive indicator of skill. So many other things factor in. I know players that have 1.5 k/da that consistently outplay those 3.0 k/d guys in sweaty pre-made matches. Also, you're luckier than me. With just 14.000 kills you are in a much better position than me to bring up that k/d because the numbers are sort of on your side. Just keep going at it yo.

With as many kills as you have it's going to be hard to raise your K/D without consistently good playing It's hard to know if you were really bad at first and got better or if you've always played a .95 But the stats say you're consistently average! Which isn't bad

1 ReplyEdited by Sp00ky Pryzmz: 7/16/2015 1:16:04 AMNope but kd is really bullshit because it is unforgiving, when I first started playing the game I though it would be smart to crucible my way to level 20 which granted me thousands of more deaths than kills and I ended up with under a .70 kd. But when I actually started getting into crucible and looking for good load outs I averaged a 1.5 and above most games which has now brought up my overall kd to about 1.10. Which is obviously less than I am capable of, moral of the story. Don't play pvp if you don't know what you're doing because my kd is most likely stuck under 2 forever now

You're above average for sure, but it really depends on how you play to say anything else. I've got a barely positive k/d but I love trying new weapons constantly and playing "challenge mode pvp" with friends i.e. queensbreaker kills only or no land beyond only. That being said I still usually go 9-0 on at least 2 characters every week. My k/d is not a true measure of my skill or my teamwork and yours may not be either.

3 RepliesJudging by your recent games..you arent good but not terrible either. i dont know what you run in crucible but i would suggest just being more aware of whats going on on your radar and on the kill feed and that should help your kd more regardless of the weapons you use. [spoiler]also try running with a team as often as possible more communication the better[/spoiler]

Not bad, could be better. I have 1.4 W/ 30,000 kills which I don't think is amazing but a good standard!

I would have to say if that K/D is what you get now, game to game... ehhh... it's okay. You're essentially "trading". Overall your point total (assists, caps, etc.) is most likely helping the cause instead of subtracting. I probably wouldn't complain if you were on my control team ([i]extreme[/i] feeders irk me). Of course the idea is to "go positive". I'd say keep plugging away maybe look up some other gameplay vids to get some ideas how to kill more efficiently.

3 RepliesWhat really matters is your win/lose ratio for the team based game types. If you primarily play rumble than KD means a little more there.
