Leave range, stability and reload the same along with the hidden stats, but change the rate of fire and impact to fatebringer levels. This would not extend the time to kill but would force the user to aim for headshots. It would also keep the user in the engagement for a slightly longer period of time making it more reasonable to counter. The time to bullets to kill would increase to a level that rules out aiming for the body. Thorn's current time to bullets to kill with body shots is currently close the time to kill with precision damage of most weapons. This would in some ways be a buff to thorn in that it could two shot ram warlocks with max armor to the head. I opose the view of many players that thorn should be nerfed into a three shot precision kill because then it would not be a worthy competitor for legendary hand cannons such as the word of crota which is in the same archetype. I also oppose the burn stopping upon the death of the user because this is the only primary weapon that can kill after death without suspected lag. It would no longer be able to counter snipe because the rate of fire would be low enough to allow most snipers to kill the opponent between shots at the longer ranges. I am speaking about ranges such as across the center of the map on pantheon.

If it wasn't as strong as it was it wouldn't be an exotic hand cannon. If they changed the DoT it'd more manageable in PvP against other weapons regardless of using Red Death and etc.
