86 RepliesEdited by angry0lbgrampa: 6/29/2015 3:18:51 PMWe don't cut peoples heads off. We are not -blam!- little girls. We do not have a slave market We do not conduct in sex trafficking. We are not blowing ourselves up. We are not attacking innocent tourists on vacation for not agreeing to our views. We are not bombing people. We are not shooting up newspapers for writing opeds about our figures within our faith. We do not beat people, or stone them for speaking out against Christianity. We do not kill anyone with a dissenting opinion. We do no kill homosexuals for being homosexual. Lets see, in the past 300 years....the worse thing we did was bomb a single abortion clinic, where no one died, because the bomb was extremely weak. Oh yea, some political figures in the "name of Christianity" used the salom witch trials to silence dissenting opinion. I guess if we go back 700 years we have the tail end of the crusades. Which was a defensive action against Islamic aggression. Oh but wait, the majority of this was not even in the name of "Christianity" it was ordered by the kings of the eras. But ya know it was the choice of the Christian people. No, you are right, ISIS and Christianity are extremely similar in one way. We devotedly follow and believe in our deity. Their is one difference however, we Christians do not kill for our Deity because we are taught to love.

1 Reply>Mary was only 15 years old >Mary loved God so much, she had all the Eucharists and commandments >Mary prayed to God every night before bed, thanking him for the life she was given >"God is love" Mary says; "God is life" >Joseph heard her and called her a whore >Mary knew he was just jealous of her devotion for God >She called him a bastard >He slapped her and sent her to go to sleep >She was crying, and her face hurt >She lay in bed and it was really cold >Suddenly, a warmth moved towards Mary >It's God! >She was so happy He whispered into her ear "This is my heavenly kingdom." >He grabbed Mary with his powerful holy hands and put her down onto her hands and knees >Mary is ready >She spread her booty for God >He penetrates her >It hurt so much but she did it for God >She could feel her booty tearing as her eyes started to water >She pushed against his force >Mary wanted to please God >He shouted a mighty blessing as he filled her with the Holy Spirit >Joseph walked in >God looked him straight in the eyes and said "It's all holy now. Oh, and you're the stepfather of the Messiah." >God left through her window >God is love. God is life

6 RepliesQuote me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the Quran says to, "destroy the infidels" The "infidels" in this are Christians, or for that matter, anyone who has different beliefs than the Quran. That's the biggest difference between Christianity and Islam. Christianity doesn't say to kill or destroy others. (Please don't grasp for reasons that say it does, it really doesn't condone evil).

The book looks different.

Edited by MightyJonE: 6/30/2015 11:30:41 PMVery basically, the Koran is made up of retellings of stories from the Old Testament (Jewish scripture), the story and teachings of Jesus (from the New Testament), plus the writings of Mohammad (which are basically the same Jewish/Christian philosophies you'd be familiar with) The one significant difference is that, because Mohammad followed more the teachings of the Old Testament, Muslims believe it's blasphemy to worship anyone but God (remember Moses and the commandments, and his slaughter of the Godless people of Medea?), which is why muslims respect, but don't worship, Jesus - nor anyone else for that matter, not even Mohammad

9 RepliesEdited by LEGI0N of 0ne: 6/30/2015 5:04:19 AMIslam says submit, Christianity says decide. Six of one, they're both complete crap.
-
One comes from a culture where it's ok to kill someone for a disagreement the other comes from a culture where they think they're the victims as they try to oppress others.
-
The difference is Christians try to act civilised, but they're both intolerant

Beheadings.

5 RepliesOne blows you up the other shoves it's religious book down every hole on your body.
-
One does explosions on a regular basis. The other is passive aggressive but on a whole is really just different people skewing a common ideal.
-
7 RepliesWell they're both religions, both claim to be "peaceful" but are clearly not... maybe Muslims worship a god with an actual name?
-
2 RepliesSome of them are dumbasses with bombs and some are ignorant pricks.
If only I could figure the difference between the two.
Stop blaming religion for -blam!-ing dumb people. Everyone. You're all dumb. Like, seriously. I can't help you. I can just watch and find humor in it. Lol. See?

2 RepliesThe only real difference between Christianity and Islam is who they revere the most, and how they revere them. Both worship the same God, have many of the same stories (albeit with somewhat different perspectives), and believe in many of the same people. The main difference is that Christians worship Jesus as the son of God (and somehow also as God himself?) while Muslims worship Prophet Mohammed as the messenger of God's will.

3 RepliesEdited by Lasting Fame: 6/30/2015 4:32:56 AMThere are so many idiots For the record God and Allah are the same person Allah means God
-
1 ReplyEdited by Britton: 6/30/2015 7:47:47 AMThe difference is we live in a primarily Christian part of the world, so "they" are the bad guy. If we lived over there, then "they" becomes us. It's all perspective.

Edited by Sonic Roctopus: 6/30/2015 7:38:33 AMIf you want to read a cool work of fiction dealing with gods that is much more meaningful and interesting than the bible or the Koran check out the Iliad by homer. Now those are some cool gods. A lot better than both those and written long before either.
