Yes Pricing/Content is an Issue, but Arrogance is the Root

I've been following these forums since the launch of Destiny, yet this is my first thread. Completely understand how this community works (constant tug-of-war for who can "one up" the next as everyone tries to make each other look bad) and that I'll get crap for writing this. But either way, I feel it just needs to be said. A little over a year ago I went out on my own and started a business. Not just for the freedom and money (although it's nice), but because I couldn't stand how corporations and larger businesses were run, quite specifically the "well what are you going to do for me next" attitude. I've always firmly believed that EGO is the #1 killer of businesses. As soon as people feel success and start to make a lot of money and more importantly, gain a lot of power - it's extremely difficult to remain humble. Our incredibly self-centered and entitled society only compounds this issue. Obviously it probably goes without saying that I will not be purchasing TTK. But in all honesty, it's not about price. It's not about content. It's not about anything other than arrogance. It's the attitude. Bungie, in the same way that you say you've been "listening", we've been listening too. We get it - Destiny has been a commercial success. You've practically rubbed it in our faces plastering weekly updates with statistics on how many hours are spent playing the game, how many times Crota has been slain, etc., etc. - WE GET IT. At almost every turn, all I can see is arrogance. Obviously Luke Smith's interview recently brought this issue to the forefront. I understand that Luke may not be the best public speaker - but while he may have "mis-spoke" in his interview, what I saw was a reflection of Bungie/Activision's attitude behind the scenes. Ultimately, because of your power, you think you can do whatever you want. Still only have 1 raid but charge double for an expansion? Sure. Want to apologize for offending the community? Let's sell them class items for the same price as the first 2 DLC's. Want to rub salt in the wound? Let's tell the community in that SAME "apology" post that the collector's edition has almost sold out. Want to make more money? Let's put exclusive content behind the purchase of a Red Bull - just because we think we can. (Dying' Light's response was HILARIOUS by the way...). Even worse? Let's blatantly put on that Red Bull promotion that our customers pay a "premium" for our content - because we KNOW we're over-charging! I will close by saying this - I understand that Bungie / Activision are out to make money. That's perfectly fine - honestly! However, I disagree that the best way to make money is to go down the path you're going by rubbing your success and cockiness in our faces. Honestly, despite all of this, I was still slightly considering purchasing TTK because I do in fact enjoy the game - but when Luke said "you'll throw money at the screen" - it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me per se - I made the decision right then to prove him wrong - I will no longer be purchasing any more content for Destiny. I can not and will not support a company that thinks that their content is SO GOOD (which is laughable by the way) that they can do and say whatever they please and think that we will still purchase it. I cannot give you that satisfaction, and I encourage the people in this community to do the same, because ultimately, that's the only way to humble these companies. If you bothered to take your valuable time to read through this post - thank you and I hope it wasn't a waste for you.
