When they were talking about giving out a greater reward to the veteran players, who do they mean exactly?
Does that mean people who played before christmas? Before Year 2? Before the Dark Below?
or have they not really said anything specific on it yet?
EDIT:
They have posted!
"If you already have a Light Level 30 Guardian, or if you’ve picked up and played both The Dark Below and House of Wolves, then you’re a VIP in The Tower’s book. They’ll reward you accordingly with a victory lap that will include a permanently exclusive set of items. "

6 RepliesVets are considered players who farmed engrams, got a legendary, hauled ass back to the tower only to have their dreams crushed because it turned into a green item. That's a vet. You noobies have it easy. You didn't get to level 26 and literally stay there for days at a time because VoG was so difficult. All you had to do was buy the vanguard gear with 36 light. Vets are those who farmed loot cave. Vets are also those who bought Gally week two of the game.

players who jumped into the fight day one and now dont play anymore those are the true vets

If you have a Halloween pumpkin or bat respawn.
-
Your a veteran if you have the sign of the founders emblem
-
3 RepliesDid you use the loot cave? If the answer is yes then you are a veteran.

13 RepliesI personaly think VETS should be people who played either day 1 or stretch it to the first month. The reason being, is that these conditions that bungie listed are FAR too easy to complete. Basically theyre saying, if before TTK you can get a full set of VoG armor or Buy the expansions, youre a vet. Someone could literally get the expansions on sep 14 and be considered a vet and get these "EXCLUSIVE" rewards. Its ridicuous

13 RepliesAnyone who bought Gjallarhorn from Xur.

1 ReplyEdited by Teq Hmoob: 6/25/2015 2:58:44 PMI've been playing since day 1 when most of our legendary engrams became rare, the first ever Queen's Bounty, when the Templar could be pushed off the edge with gernades, when Atheon also got pushed off with gernades and when staying farther in the back it'll teleport you. When CROTA was able to be cheesed and was easy as heck. Back when Eris wasn't even here. Back when legendary armor would be light level were from "13-30". Also when there was that farming cave in Destiny at the Skywatch lol.

The game hasn't been out long enough for anyone to claim to be veteran

7 RepliesAny player who had to actually farm for materials.

I've played since day one

5 RepliesA person who has no sweg

I remade my Hunter last week and hit lvl 30 in about a day and a half... It's way too easy to be 30 since Crota's End, even House of Wolves. The cut off should be those who made it to 30 before Crota's End. Back when you needed an exotic to be 30 or got super duper lucky and got all the VoG armor. Damn, that chest piece never dropped for me for the longest time.

True "Veteran" players are players who have played after or since the release of the game, have reached Light level 30 (Maxed VoG gear) or own both expansion packs before August

1 ReplyEdited by VoxNovo: 6/25/2015 2:20:51 PMI've been playing since the Alpha. And the Beta. I was there for the loot cave, and Randal, and "forever 29", and the non-teleporting Templar, and grenade-ing Atheon, and non-random teleports, and Crota before and after cheeses were known, and the first Queen's Wrath event, and during Xur's heavy ammo synth drought, before Valus was nerfed, before Suros was nerfed, and before you could "buy your way" to level 30+. So I guess I'm entitled to an opinion on what defines a "veteran". And as far as I'm concerned, anyone who was at max level before TTK was announced is probably the fairest way to define it. Christmas noobs have been around long enough by now, and by the time September rolls around so will the HoW noobs. I don't feel the need to be a special snowflake just because I was here before them. But if you just heard about Destiny at E3, run out and buy the game and quickly get one level 30 character then do nothing until September, I don't really think that qualifies. But whatever...6 months from now when TTK noobs are complaining about not having the Veteran stuff, we'll all be able to get the chance to feel superior to them for our countless wasted hours on a video game. :)

2 RepliesI don't understand why you're asking when you have Bungie's word for word definition in your post???
-
5 RepliesA "veteran" is considered anyone who has bought DLC I and II or a year 1 player.

3 RepliesEdited by CelticSon44: 6/24/2015 9:02:42 PMSome people have jobs and families. The term veteran is used too liberally. So you grimoire score elitists can -blam!- off

I think they should go beyond that and do this: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/133212490/0/0
