It so sad that there are morons who continuosly bitch and moan about every aspect of the game, but continue to play it hours on end Like OP for example who has 741 hours logged into the game, but wants to be hip and trendy by hating on Destiny. For those that don't know that 4.4 weeks worth of time. But hey, instead of doing what rational people would do and ,you know, quitting the game, not purchasing the DLC, and moving on with your life you decided to continue playing it.

Only a few of the responses to this even addressed what he said. Nearly all of them were just calling the author out and trying to demean him. How is that constructive? He never said he didn't play the game. He said there were better games coming that would most likely be a wiser purchase. I have all 34s as well. 3515 grimoire. Every exotic weapon and armor. And a ridiculous amount of hours on this game. But that doesn't mean it's as good as it should have been. It means that currently, it is the best that's out right now. Which isn't saying much. I, like everyone else, bought the expansion under the impression there would be new content. But they turned strikes and missions backwards. Added almost no new story line. And didn't even include a road with the last one. The arena has no replay value. I had everything I needed from it after 2 weeks. Even the e3 footage showed you going through already explored areas. Here's what you guys don't get that posts like this are trying to convey. The contract with activist on states they have to have so many hours logged in regular intervals or activision will pull the plug. The easiest way to do that is to reorganize what already exists, sell it to you and watch you play hundreds of more hours. It's just a business model. They are fulfilling their contractual obligation. But they are doing it in a way that is deceitful and half assed. But with all of you who just eat up playing the same game backwards for the next 10 years, that business model won't change. I'm not calling anyone names. I'm not trying to argue. I am only clearing up a misunderstanding. So many people are calling the expansions DLC. Which leads me to believe that a lot of the people who play destiny don't know the difference. Look up FEAR Files for xbox. That's 2 ENTIRE campaigns and multiplayer. Look at DOOM 3 Ressurection of Evil, an entire campaign. Those are expansions. There is a tremendous difference in expectation between the 2. By definition, Destiny has failed to live up to almost everything it has ever advertised. These were supposed to be $40 expansions. Instead they turned out to be DLC snippets that should have been priced around $10 a piece, at best. I know a lot of the gamers out there are younger and don't recall games with true expansions like the few I mentioned. But that just shows how much the industry has changed and they don't know everything about the culture they have joined into. There are rules and expectations that we have as gamers. We have had these values for decades. And we will not give them up for anyone. We need better quality games with more consistent support and we need an expansion to be just that if content is advertised as one, and not re skinned vanilla content. Thank you.

Welcome to the new world of gaming. Many, if not all, companies out there offer some sort of DLC aspect to it. Of course primary reason is profit,but it also allows the game to continue to have new materials for players to play with.
