I have finally beaten my addiction to Destiny! It's been two weeks since my last log-in and I'm better for it. All it took was a little time with a couple of new games and for Bungie to confirm one more time that they are just going to continue to ignore us and our requests and then over-charge us for another shell of a DLC. Like many others, I have lost the urge to play Destiny completely, since I know that it's going nowhere for veteran players, and I am actually happy about it. I guess this is just my way of saying goodbye. It was fun running sword and relic for you guys, you will all be missed, but this game is a blackhole for expectations and money. I'm finally free, and you can be too!

4 RepliesEdited by RicKmyRallS: 6/20/2015 5:26:25 PMTruly you are better off. I am 12 days sober and not regretting it one bit. Bungie has lost a customer for life. Day one payer I mean player here. I bought ESO on the 9th and have been playing ever since. Funny thing is I can hop on ESO play for an hour or so and actually be having fun and not feel like I'm grinding my face into broken glass. I recommend if you feel burnt out give it at least a week break and you will see how much Bungie has sucked the fun out of a game that could have been great. Bungie needs to hear the community via voting with our dollars. Stop rewarding this company. I ask all the true gamers to say no more. We deserve better.

1 ReplyWhy would he delete his characters? No mater if he plays still or not they are a testament to his accomplishments. Haven't played WoW in years still have all my 80's though with full raid loots. I still have all my elserscrolls toons dating back to original xbox. I still have all my fallout toons. Besides he may want too come back later. Everyone who says he should delete his toons obviously has never played an mmo.

Erase all your characters if your done be a man of your word
-
6 RepliesYet your still on there forums.... It's like saying you quit smoking only to hang out with all the smokers trying to get a second hand buzz.
-
2 RepliesDelete your characters then, still waiting

1 ReplyI've been logging in less and less. What used to be several hours a day is now do a couple bounties and a touch of pvp. Since gta v released its newest dlc I've been back on there and when I see the mission variety, huge open world, multiple pvp match types, and huge customization I find myself wondering why I play anything else, lol. Not to mention all the dlc is free.

3 RepliesThe exodus from Destiny continues...

19 RepliesWay to go now get off the forums if you really quit. If you've beat the urge to play then you should've beat the urge to keep checking the forums to see if that game has gotten better.
-
4 RepliesOk then why post it on here your obviously still interested in it, next time I just keep it to yourself we don't need to know that you didn't play it for 2 weeks we all know you will be playing it

1 ReplyESO broke that addiciton... now seeing Destiny clips on my news feed from friends just turns my stomach and thats not a joke
-
1 ReplyI'm still getting my season pass worth out of ToO and then I'm done too. Bungie can suck a dick.
-
If I don't buy TTK being locked out of everything every week will break my addiction ;)
-
Good luck to you bud. I'll most likely be there soon too after recent news of destiny a future.

Me too, feels great. Been logging a lot of hours on ESO with previous destiny friends.

The elder scrolls has consumed me from the grasp of destiny.

Congratulations. I still enjoy the game, but it is refreshing to see that a person who does not is capable of making a rational decision rather than posting rants about lawsuits and refunds. Keep playing games you like, don't buy expansions for ones you don't. Godspeed, friend!
-
Hell yeah brother!! Me too

2 RepliesI can't believe how much time I'm willing to spend grinding the same bounties and popping telemetries just to get that small rush of a green "+" indicating the unlock of a new perk. Only reason why any of us grind. It's so odd. Other than the sick feeling I get after a 2 hour grind to level guns, I do really enjoy running raids and POE with buddies. That's honestly still interesting to me.

I'm in the same boat rowing beside you. The raids were fun, got to play with a few good people, but all in all not worth going back for more of the same bs

8 RepliesWhat games did you start playing to pull you from Destiny?
-
Seeing this new games, why wouldn't you put an old game down that screws over it's day one fans to play new ones, bungie I still wanna play destiny but when you fu ck over day one players it's hard to wanna stay, I don't blame these people for putting destiny down hate to say it but truth hurts please don't push any more guardians away

I'm buying eso then fallout I'll be following you soon. Ive been on the fence for awhile, really I stopped playing for at least a month a week before HoW released. I came back and wasn't very impressed.
-
25 RepliesRight on, man. It's been almost a week for me. I've been enjoying Witcher III, and, like you, marveling at the latest installment of Bungie's disastrous handling of this game and it's obnoxious treatment of this community.
