Only reason people want this weapon is because it is OP as hell. To create less demand, make it worse. 👌
Gjallarhorn being as good as it is now makes all other heavy weapons obsolete. (sometimes even on activities with different burn modifiers)
⭐Bungie has already said one weapon should not be the answer for everything.

It really is not that overpowered except on solar burns.
-
4 RepliesHave 4 of them....don't care
-
I would say: "GOOD -blam!-ING RIDDANCE!"
-
if you nerf the gjallerhorn , another heavy will take de "best heavy" spot. look what happened to crucible when bungie nerf auto rifle and fusion
-
1 ReplyThe only people who want it nerfed are the ones who don't have it so then it's not basically a requirement for raids and such. Which it isnt. There's other launchers that are fairly decent. Gally is just far superior.
-
3 RepliesI voted no. But I disagree on the gun being the only heavy. I use Hunger plenty so I can use IB, Vex, Hawkmoon, etc. Or SGA for HM VoG Atheon oracles. Incredible as it is, not for every situation. Burn does count too on hard mode stuff.
-
4 RepliesIf they nerf it then everyone should get one. Once again the whiners win then I quit because I get enough whiners in real life.
-
1 ReplyI would be upset largley because the weapon is almost exclusivley used in pve, only time i use in pvp is in ToO for heavy round, and when doing ashes to ashes. Nerfing it in pve would remove a crutch gun for sure but at the same time its among the only weapons that does wurth while damage to bosses.
-
Its a game. I wouldnt care that much
-
Regardless nerf or buff gelly will be powerful due to its wolf pack perk
-
3 RepliesThey'll bring out more exotics that will make people think twice about using gjallarhorn
-
2 RepliesThis would be the ultimate face palm. But I actually think Bungie is pretty smart, they've gotten a lot right in this game, therefore I don't believe this will happen at this time, that is with our current set of weapons. When we gain new weapons in the next dlc, depending on what they are it could become a possibility.
-
2 RepliesYeah because Bungie will make the thing that keeps a lot of people playing less enticing. Never gonna happen.
-
4 RepliesI have three and use them regularly. Because the wolf pack rounds actually do damage unlike cluster bombs. Is it the primary heavy I use? yeah. Is it the answer for all situations? No. If cluster bombs tracked the targets (or did anything other than make pretty explosions), ghorn wouldn't be exotic. And without wolfpack, its just another average rocket launcher. Therefore it does not need nerfed.
-
Get rid of the tracking and just replace it with the hidden proximity perk. Then lower each wolf pack round's damage by 100 (I think they currently do 300 a piece). If you are against lowing the damage then severely lower the velocity so that it is hard to hit moving targets.
-
I would be overjoyed. What can I say? Some people just want to watch the world burn.

4 RepliesEdited by mrfluzzard: 6/14/2015 6:19:21 PMIt's not that the Gjallarhorn is op, it's that other exotics aren't good enough. Truth and dragons breath are extremely underwhelming in pve. Truth is good for void burn, as its the only void exotic. Thunderlord is still best for arc burn. SGA isn't even worth mentioning because it's so bad
-
3 RepliesEdited by Seraph: 6/14/2015 6:07:50 PM
⭐Bungie has already said one weapon should not be the answer for everything.
I don't want Gjallarhorn to be nerfed but something has to done about about the way it is perceived by the community. When a whole entire community of gamers refuse to play with other gamers because they don't have a Gjallarhorn you know you have a problem. When bosses are considered unbeatable without one ( hard mode Crota before HOW dropped, POE Skolas pre nerf ) you know you have a problem. Instead of nerfing the Gjallarhorn Bungie should bring all the other Exotic Heavy Weapons closer to Gjallarhorn's league. All exotic Rocket Launchers should have tracking as well as something that makes up for the lack of Wolf Pack rounds. Exotic Machine guns should deliver better DPS.
-
2 RepliesThen just need to buff dragons breath to be able to compete with gally. I think that would balance the game quite well.
-
YALL just mad cause you don't have one
-
I hate pve. I just do it for the rewards I can use In the crucible. So gally is my choice to blow up all the bull in this game. you want a harder challenge? Then dust off the nes because today's games are super easy and this thread won't change anything.
-
3 RepliesStop wining. You baby's might as well ask to nerf every gun in the game.
-
Gjallarhorn doesn't kill bosses, guardians firing Gjallarhorns kills bosses. Duh.
-
5 RepliesI don't even have it and I think this post is retarded. If it were nerfed I would probably stop playing destiny because it's the only reason I still play
-
Gjallarhorn is never gonna get nerfed the gun is too good and highly in demand so please stop with the stupid posts about nerfing it because it's never gonna happen. Only thing even close would be the other exotics getting buffed and there is only one rocket launcher that needs to be buffed and that's dragons breath. The Gjallarhorn is best pve rocket and the truth is best pvp rocket so neither should be nerfed only left alone or buffed.
⭐Bungie has already said one weapon should not be the answer for everything.
They said that when they were trying to justify shitting all over the entire Auto Rifle class with the 1.1.1 nerf. It was a "hey everyone keeps using Suros Regime during IB especially when we put in a bounty requiring Auto Rifle headshots...let's take the teeth out of the entire weapon class!" response. Yet here we are, with Thorn sitting pretty as god-tier PvP weapon of choice, and Gjallahorn being the greatest thing for PvE since trigger-fingers.
