I just lost to people doing a golden gun glitch
I was playing trials and I needed one last win for flawless ,they each had their super every round and beat us

10 RepliesIt's due to a bug with the Hunter's "Swarm Grenade" and the Armour perk "Ashes to Asset". Ashes to Asset - Kills with Grenades grant additional Super energy. Swarm Grenades grant additional Super energy every time they hit something, allowing a Hunter to get Golden Gun in the first round (and possibly every round) of Trials as long as at least 5 of the Swarm rounds hit. My team and I have lost several games to teams of 3 Golden Gun hunters doing this exploit, and they will get banned for it - I can assure you. They are intentionally exploiting the game to give themselves an unfair advantage over regular players.

Also if you have gear that replenishes your super from grenade hits, it's even more of a slap to the opposition's face

6 RepliesIf they managed all to hit you with swarm grenade and kill 2/3 of you (which needs to be done to get super from it) you deserve to loose for being shit. The swarm glitch barely works in elimination you don't have enough time or people.

Note to you swarm dbags out there, when you lose, I'm teabagging the crap out of you, and you absolutely deserve it. You try your hardest to cheese super kills, but end up getting smoked. It's hilarious. In other news, supers and grenades should have their cooldown time doubled. It would be awesome to see people actually rely on gun skill to win games. Control would be a totally different story.

This is a problem that needs addressing but it's not particularly cheating it's more of an exploit and nobody is going to be banned over it it's just like cheering a raid

Bungie did not say "Plz ppl dont use these two combinations because we messed up again!" lol as a player you can use ANYTHING available to you as long as its within the game itself.. you losing mean you sucked plz dont blame it on the players. the day Bungie comes out and say NO ONE use these two combinations is the day you can call those players glitchers/exploits/cheaters. nothing more fun than destroying a team, make them lose that flawless and having them blame it on something else while in reality they sucked.

All I see is people complaining about this glitch if you are stupid enough to get hit by the grenades then it will happen check out people's setups before hand if they have that setup play it safe and don't get hit by grenades

6 RepliesI don't get why people are defending this. Everybody gets hit by grenades around corners, stop saying people aren't good enough to not get hit by the grenade. It's an awful point. It's an exploit that gives one player an unfair advantage over the other. The text says kills give more super energy, not hits. I guess the more public it gets, the quicker they fix it. It being bad coding or a cheat is irrelevant, it's cheap and shouldn't work the way it does. It just ruins the experience of an awesome event, just disappointing.

8 RepliesI actually use the scatter grenade in crucible for 3 v 3. It provides as a somewhat defensive barrier to help herd players into a kill zone. Did not know of the glitch until it went on the forums. So if I were to continue this method (with my symbiote- has ashes to assets) without visiting the forums, I deserve to get banned? So if for some reason, you're beloved thorn had a glitch in ToO, where the dot was doubled, you should get banned for using it, even if you used it outside on ToO on a regularly basis? This is the reason people can't get banned. They cannot be 100% sure it is done with exploitable intent. They can't be sure if people use them like they were meant to be ( like I used to use them in skirmish) or if they are using them to get faster supers. Yes it's a glitch on coding. But no hacking is being done. So for -blam!-s sake, please stop the pointless threads about this crap. Nothing will happen to players using this, and yes, it is morally wrong. Stop wasting space on the forum. Goes along with nerfs and buffs etc. We don't need 10000000 pointless threads about the same thing.

Counter it with the warlocks scatter grenade :) it busts there grenades and they don't get their super (#warlockmasterrace) I've heard the Titan suppressor grenade stops them cold too..not sure tho
