Nerf this nerf that. Screw off. That 35 being challenging is the only thing that separated the men from the boys in the new dlc as far as pve goes. Now every little whinny brat that's been complaining about it can get it done. If you ask me if they haven't done it by now because all they've done is cry about how bad they suck, and it took them 6 hours of play time to just eventually give up, they shouldn't be catered here by making it easier. Totally messed up.

1 ReplyWhatever. It's PvEasy. They could make it as hard as they want and it will never compare to playing great crucible killers.
-
I'd rather see Skollas nerfed than weapons.
-
Removing the burn only makes it easier if the adds and boss used that element. It is also a loss for us, we all have elemental weapons too which gave us an advantage if you had the correct setup. You just won't be able to Ghorn him in 60 seconds anymore. If anything it should take longer with no burn and how is that easier.

3 RepliesEdited by CrimsonDemonX: 6/12/2015 4:56:19 PMThey aren't nerfing him there removing the burn so dick lickers like you can't cheese him in 30 seconds, oh boo hoo I have to play the content the way it was ment to, bombs and devouring essence and all, so why don't you piss off.
-
I think they took a look at the numbers and were like: everyone is pigeonholed in a corner and wipes if they fail to Gjallarhorn properly. A change is needed, though I am not sure what. Maybe a slight health reduction, but definitely not removal of the burn damage. Perhaps tone down that shotgun that the Captains use... Getting one shot is irritating when Skolas is at an 1/8" health and a captain teleports and causes a wipe.

3 RepliesTurning off the burns will be boring. Can you say gallahorn?
-
It's just game, if your so mad play level 34 instead.
-
You really don't see the bigger picture do you :/
-
Explain to me exactly how they are nerfing Skolas... They are reducing his health to compensate for the lack of Solar, Arc and Void burn. It will take longer to kill him. Seems like a buff to me with more chance of survival...

9 RepliesI love that "separated men from boys" statement. Im apparently not a "man" because i havent had time to waste hours of my life to beat a video game character. Tell me, am i not a man because i spend my time working out, running, practicing for actual sports for hours every day, and competing in double header games, plus yardwork and finding time to actually be social? It seems to me that youre just a "boy" for complaining about bungie giving people who dont have a lot of time on their hands a chance. Seriously, find something to do with your life, and stop acting like a little elitist child.

1 ReplyYoure really that upset about this? Go in with a group of 33s. Will that be enough of a challenge for you? It is not even hard now if you have a group with the right weapons. Most people are not even going through the fight mechanics but just burning him down in 30 secs. That separates the men from the boys to you I guess.
-
3 RepliesFirst time I beat him with all three no ghorns. Why nerf an already easy boss? Crybabys ruining the game
-
1 ReplyI did it with a bunch of people who have never done it before we killed him on 1st try we didn't even have all the right weapons and it was easy there is no reason for people to complain about how hard it is get good scrub
-
The Skolas encounter was stupid. You have to kill him in 60 seconds or less or you are screwed. How does that make you a bad ass for finishing it?
-
1 ReplyThey gonna add special weapons buff and the spear would do ~20k damage per shot. His going down in 20 sec max.
-
Yeah that's crap, they are taking burns off too, totally dumb why not nerf something that needs nerfed like the thorn! Or more vault space!
-
14 RepliesI'm glad they are. Now I have yet to even go do Skolas (I'm patient and have been waiting on that last armor piece to hit 34 cause RNG sucks), but what I have seen on the forums... Skolas has basically turned the community into an elitist one. "LF 2 for 35 PoE. You MUST have max gally and max 365 weapons" This. This is why they are needing him. It has forced people to use high caliber weapons, and they in turn force other fireteam members to use them. A vast chunk of guardians have yet to even see a gally in their inventory, let alone have each one these elitists demand. My opinion: the nerf will help clear this up A TON. Gally and such will go from mandatory to preferred (like Crota or raids in general), and allow more guardians to make their way through. Granted there are still going to be elitist asses, but there will also be more guardians participating with the new ease of mission.

Did you even read the patch notes? They didnt nerf skolas because he was hard, they nerfed him because the fight took players longer than they had hoped. And besides, bungie still tried to balance it out by removing burns against skolas.
-
2 RepliesI was coming here to post the same thing! The hardcore PVE community wanted something truly difficult. Unprepared guardians SHOULD be sent home crying after failing in Skolas' cell repeatedly. Soon I will not be one of the very few owners of a Void Six Dreg. So I guess then we should demand the guys that go flawless every weekend, that they "take it easy on some of the 32's and 33's they encounter in trials???? And I thought we were Becoming Legend......I love this game but we might need to take another look at what that really means.
-
2 RepliesIts going to make him harder to beat if you think about it yes 10% less health but no burn so you are losing 30% per shot so you do the maths it = harder
-
9 RepliesBecause having 3 gallys separates men from boys sure okay. Yeah drop him in 30 seconds with the most effective weapon in the game, all you have to do is literally shoot straight with a tracking rocket. All burn skolas does is separate those with gallys from those without.
-
7 RepliesYet they still won't give us vault space, buff auto rifles/nerf hand cannons etc, fix broken servers and destiny as a whole
-
1 ReplyWell theyre "nerfing" it in the sense he has less health but there wont be a burn on anymore so you wont be able to down him with gallys in 30 seconds. So in reality its an improvement.
-
You call that challenging? It's a joke with burns, getting rid of burns is the best decision they could make.
-
2 RepliesCouldn't agree more - it's just the way this and every other challenging game is going. People complain till everything is made easier. It's the participation trophy generation. "I paid $60 everything should be handed to me, Wahhh Wahhh." I'm sure you'll get a lot of "I have a life" replies. To them I say, 99% of games are made for people that "have a life." Go play those games that are built for your "life" rather than just complaining to make everything easier. However, I think if they just added checkpoints instead the difficulty wouldn't have been as big an issue.

separated the men from the boys
More like people with Ghorns to people without Ghorns
