I am one too. But are any of you kinda angry that all these new kids act like they are so boss being level 34. But they have no clue how to beat a vog on hard, or how hard it was to get level 30 before.
I bring this up because i was arguing with a level 34 guy because he thought he knew more about the game simply because i was a level 33.
I showed him some of my guns like the shadow price and devil you know. I told him about the beta and how the grind was a pain before the dark below. And so much more... In the end he figured out that he didn't know shit about destiny.

Edited by technoguy1754312: 6/12/2015 4:12:08 PMI just say kick back have a drink and let destiny get bombarded with nerfs and whiners. Bad enough loot cave gone now weapon are just getting crappy. What else Is new as I'm seeing day one player barely complain about most the crap. Like the gjallahorn being sold or your not a certain level your a scrub like dude really.

3 RepliesAll these kids. They don't know. Don't know the STRUGGLE! They never had to claw ascendant materials from Atheon, hoarding them until they reached a high level! They never had to go around and around and around and around a single area, farming materials! I am proud to have my "farmer's eyes:" I can spot a relic iron from any distance away. They never had to deal with the original Cryptarch, with his scheming thievery! They never had to put up with auto rifles in Crucible (although Handcannons are quickly compensating)! Do they even know the struggle of upgrading Exotics in the Dark Below? The pain of waiting for Xur to bring the right upgrade? The anger at losing all your progress? DO THEY EVEN KNOW?!?!?

Edited by Thesmartcreeper: 6/12/2015 4:06:35 PMLet me tell all you how noobs a story of old. Having to memorise the crucible ammo spawn locations. Suros ruling, and thorn sucking . The struggle for 30, forever 29. Getting blues from legendary engrams and struggling to earn coins.

I'm a day one player but I never found raiding very fun. I always got into fire teams full of depressed sounding teenagers who sounded like they were being forced to play the game. If I found a fun fire team maybe I would find raiding more fun

3 RepliesI say we all make a CULT! Day one players vs everyone else.' We can go to their houses and destroy their Xbox's and PlayStations. And Burn Crosses in their front yard. What would we wear? A Ghost outfit with a big "1" on it?
-
I'm so glad that someone said it I'm tired of all these -blam!-ing Christmas and TDB noobs who think that they are good. I didn't get my second and third characters to 30 until TDB came out because of how hard it was to get gear. But people just don't understand it
-
1 ReplyTotally agree that getting to level 30 was much harder to reach before The Dark Below was released. My titan boots would not drop from VoG so I grinded Iron Banana to get a pair, the very next try at VoG on hard RNGesus trolled me and gave me 2 pairs of boots.
-
Forever 29 all 3 characters, Chest piece would NOT drop on any character.
-
I don't care. I played the alpha, the beta, and I'm a day oner. But if you're not, okay, sucks to be you.
-
I had a level 34 tell me, when at the bridge for Crotas end, "well I don't know how to do this legit." He joined for a flawless run. We failed...
-
I don't know why but your post called the images from Band of Brothers to my mind. The "Replacements" episode. Where the old breed were battle hardened and nary an RPG explosion nearby would shake them, while the new guys would jump to the nearest fox hole and not come out. They weren't tested; they didn't know the reality of the front line like the guys who had been there. Probably a poor analogy and don't read into it thinking I'm saying that real war is like playing a video game. I'm just saying, maybe it's better for the veteran players to show the new guys the ropes. And if they have "egos" about their status, the best way to bring it down is through failure. Let them fail. Then don't be a jerk about it when you explain how to do things the right way.

4 RepliesIf you are not 34 on all chars u are terrible. The more optimized your gear is the better you look IMO, if you look cool with optimized gear (2 100%) u are great, if you are actually good as well I respect you .

I did a thing in a game! Woohoo!

2 RepliesHas the VoG armour drop rate increased?
-
Meh at least we don't have to grind as much from this point
-
I think the strikes have become irrelevant, which is sad. the jump from 20 to 34 can be done in a hundred hours, if that.

This community was built on the backs of those that would get Blue armor and weapons from decoding Purple Engrams.

he may know more about the new stuff if he ran it before you did, just because you have shadow price and devil you know doesnt make you know everything about HoW

I'm day one but took a month or so off in Nov/Dec. But I'm back now and have been since Jan. I remember the loot cave and spending hours there. It's a big coincidence that the best treasure key farming was in the same area. Never really farmed materials tho and honestly didn't start raiding until Jan/Feb. Upset I didn't try to do it sooner. I remember absolutely getting tore up by the original suros and vex. Trying to do nightfall eventually and seeing someone murder with a fatebringer due to arc burn. Dude was like I got it in VoG on hard. Made me insanely jealous I wasn't able to do it. (Had no idea about the forums at the time) Also remember missing out on the ghorn and then the red death. Luckily red death dropped for me a month or so ago but sadly I am still waiting on the ghorn. Somehow managed to miss every icebreaker as well. Good times.

4 RepliesThere is something they will never have. The satisfaction of beating VOG as a 28 raid leading with 2 guardians only speaking Spanish and me using their buddy for translation. Yup.
-
1 ReplyForever 29 Farming mats for hours Playing the VoG on the day it came out and failing miserably Loot cave Thinking Icebreaker and Ghorn were wastes of exotic slots. Blues from legendaries Those were the days.
-
5 RepliesFarming for relic iron and all the material is a pain in the a**. Hahaha
-
Killing atheon from the left side land. You need to jump across to that small area
