I am one too. But are any of you kinda angry that all these new kids act like they are so boss being level 34. But they have no clue how to beat a vog on hard, or how hard it was to get level 30 before.
I bring this up because i was arguing with a level 34 guy because he thought he knew more about the game simply because i was a level 33.
I showed him some of my guns like the shadow price and devil you know. I told him about the beta and how the grind was a pain before the dark below. And so much more... In the end he figured out that he didn't know shit about destiny.

That moment when you had to decide between putting ascendant energy's into leveling up you icebreaker or leaving it in case you get fatebringer in next reset ahh I miss odd satisfaction of breaking a weapon and getting much needed energy's for another gun and frustration of never having enough

Alpha beta omega whatever doesn't count just day one bro

2 RepliesI used to be a hardcore grinder... Until I took a an arrow to the knee.

dont worry about it. There are some of us that still have the Founders emblem - be content with that and dont let it grind your gears :) Think this way: 34 is not a status symbol - grimoire(sp?) is actually a better (but still not very good) way of telling how much experience a player has How does a random kid with 34 affect your gameplay? It doesnt.. right? Its a game, fun is the name of it And my final most immature but very truthful comment..... Getting 34 doesnt get you all the girls :D (or make you WIN at life) Id rather they fix lag switching for pvp. But then, Im here for the PvE, so... none of this matter I'll get my coat

3 RepliesIm a day one player and I was doing templer today and a level 34 was just running out of the certainment shield

I've been playing since day one. My eyes haven't stopped bleeding since day twenty-eight, and my skin has become fully grafted to my couch.

Getting to lvl 30 was da shit

My hunter got to lvl 30 the week before The dark below and I ended up dismantling

I remember watching the 17 sec. Atheon kill video that sparked the "need" for Gallys.

7 RepliesWho else remembers the forever a 29 phase?

I feel bungie is doing everyone an injustice by selling 31 gear. It cheapens the whole experience for the new and pisses off the veterans

I played beta on 360 but ended up starting my first two characters on ps4 and am now starting over on Xbox one and have had the same problem over past week of higher leveled players talking down as if they know the game better

3 RepliesYou're not the only one that kept the shadow price.

2 RepliesHonestly, I don't mind that it was easy to hit level 34 in this expansion. HoW is more about being a better 34, not just being a 34. Meaning, build, weapons, skill tree etc. I'm not mad at newer players just for being new, or even thinking they are top shit because they're 34. I'm mad about the things they complain about: - "Too hard". Excuse me? Sorry, but you don't know hard till you complete Hard Mode VoG with a 6-man team of level 29's. - "It's a grind". Says the guy who has no idea what it's like to launch a patrol on Venus for the SOLE PURPOSE of farming Spirit Bloom for an hour. - "I'm not fairly rewarded". Yeah? You think so? Buddy, you didn't run VoG 20 times and still not get a piece of gear to put you at Level 30. They don't understand how much this game has positively changed. But I sound like my Dad talking about walking 5 miles to school, so I'm sort of being a hypocrite. I'm not actually angry at the new kids, I just wish they could appreciate how it was before, and how far we've come. That's all.
-
To think about how grand VoG was compared to 4 rounds of mobs in a circular room and a boss fight for a more of light and a non element primary.

3 RepliesMaterial farming!!! Remember this days when we were like "I need to find 60 helium by tonight"?

36 RepliesI'm glad that there's no more forever 29 issues in place. Leveling is easier, which makes the game more accessible but it's still not so easy that it just gets handed out. You've still got to put in a fair amount of effort to hit the level cap. If someone wants to argue that they know more about the game, let em. It doesn't really matter too much. Still really cool of you to keep some of your old weapons. Aside from Kvostov and the Strangers Rifle, I don't think I have any of my original vanilla weapons.
