Atheon Has Cursed Me
Across all my current characters, Ive entered the VoG 96 times, came out victorious for a majority of those runs. A majority of those victories were also on hard mode. And STILL to this day I have yet to receive a Mythoclast! I have countless sparrows and ships, more Visions and Epilogues than I could ever need, hell Ive even gotten other exotics to drop from Atheon. Still, to this day, Atheon and RNGesus laugh in my face every time I enter that Vault that I know all too well. But I'm still determined. All I want to know is... Why Bungie? :(

I got it on my first hard vault run. It dropped with the hard light.

7 RepliesGo to the Speaker and buy the "Blessing of the Watcher" emblem. I swear it works for better drops. This coming from someone who has every raid weapon and preHoW exotic. I've had 15 Vex Mythoclast drop for me.

Mythoclast is easily one of my favorite weapons, for pve. for pvp on the other hand, not so much anymore... I guess in the prior patch the fusion rifle 'fix' was never implemented. It has been now, & is borderline unusable for serious gameplay anymore. It's a shame. Vex is just such a great gun. I use it every chance I get.

I heard if you run it with 5 people (or how every many) who have all done it for the week so they dont get any rewards you have more chance of it dropping as it only rewarding 1 person out of 6. Not sure how true that is though.

I did VOG hard a ton of times since I hit level 30 in like November and just finally got the Vex yesterday. I've never been happier.

2 RepliesIv gotten 6 or 7 on around 20 completions lol my drops have been pretty solid throughout this game, it's the faction/cryptarch packages & exotic engrams that fk me over every single time. [spoiler]47 total dead orbit packages - 0 shaders 20 helmet engrams - 0 celestial nighthawk 14 chest engrams - 0 purifier robes[/spoiler]

3 RepliesBro the Vex isn't that great. I get you may want to collect it but mine has been collecting dust for months. Having said that at least the vault is fun and eventually it will drop for you.

I still can't get a raid helmet for my warlock and I have the mythoclast after fourth attempt of killing him on hard also got a thunder lord that same day was so happy my group wouldn't talk to me for a whole hour after the fight

I've gotten every single thing from raids except both of the Machine Guns, and Praetorian Foil.. Ever since I stopped doing raids. Might start again for fun, good luck to you though!

1 ReplyI hear you, I haven't run it nearly that much, not quite that much at all, but I've yet to receive it either, I have terrible luck at VOG and usually tend to get nothing but shards, energies, tons of praedyth revenges, and occasionally a sparrow. I'm still missing a ton of the VOG weapons, but I do have fatebringer and praetorian's foil, 2 of the hardest to get anyway.
