Just got kicked from Skolas.
Not gonna call people out and I rarely post here.. But just got kicked from 35 Prison right at Skolas. Was a 34 Defender Titan with max Gjallarhorn and Helm of Saint-14. We were doing well, only wiped a few times, it was my first time but was holding my own and even saved the team a few times. Then right before we get to Skolas they ask me if I have any armour that gave me extra heavy ammo. I didn't unfortunately but had read up on the tactics for beating him and figured we could make it through or at least give it a go, if not I would have dropped out no problem! But they didn't even have the decency to try it at least once, they didn't even apologise or tell me, I just got kicked..
Sorry for the long post but felt shifty and needed to vent. I'll get Skolas some day!
Edit: Finally beat Skolas the other night and got an elder cipher in the process! Now I just have to choose which gun I want first :P
Just wanted to say thanks for all the support on the forums, you guys are amazing! I know a lot of you offered to help me and I really appreciate that! Sorry If I kept missing you online, I have you and friends now so hopefully we can do raids or arena sometime when our schedules allow it :) thanks again everyone!

always start your own fire team then invite in. Better to have people leave than getting kicked out, trust me I learned this back on the VOG days. and now that there are no check points...f that. There is ALWAYS someone that wants to play in LFG.

It doesn't take anywhere near 14x3 gallys to burn him. Only need ~7 from one char (who may have to bail to get mines anyway) But also how dafuq u not have heavy boots? That's all both raids gave out.

9 RepliesSorry that happened man. Unlike some people who have responded, I can see why you don't armor that gives you more heavy. I don't have any either, not yet. I'll have them in a few days after running PoE 32. A lot of people don't seem to understand, PoE was developed because Bungie recognized that it is more difficult to put together a 6 person team to run an hour long raid than it is to put together a 3 person team to play a 30 minute hoard mode. There are a lot of us who have never completed VoG nor CE because we weren't max level and didn't have max Gjallarhorn. People keep saying "just use LFG", but then say "that's why I don't play with randoms". Which is it?

Well....they are dicks. But you were still under prepared for the burst strategy then. I recommend doing the 32 and use the core to buy the boots that are in sale this week, they have heavy ammo perk.

Those people suck then. Seriously if you have a burn sniper your good. This is coming from a guy with gjallahorns. I always run with a specific group and it makes it so much more reliable. Im sorry to hear what happened to you and good luck.

3 Repliesthey mission is frustrating so some people don't like jokes or goofing around. too bad they kick you, just don't plat with them anymore by the way the extra heavy ammo just give you 1 more heavy ammo i don't think is a big difference to have or not to have that armor.

I got kicked yesterday at the treasure room before I could open anything, it was my first 35 run and the two guys just screwed me in the end. I did better then them the whole time also. If you are on PS4 I can run it with you, would like to get the loot I missed out on.

I would add that the first thing I stuck etheric light on was raid boots on each character in order to get the extra heavy ammo (and something besides strength, of course). The Crota ones drop at the bridge checkpoint. Also there are a few exotic chest pieces that have that perk. I wouldn't do a raid without maximum heavy. I am not making excuses for them; they are A-holes for dumping you.

They're the cheese crew. If they can't stomach 2 less rockets, they're terrible at PvE anyway. I bet they're bitching the entire time about how hard it is the entire time.

Did this yesterday with 2 hunters and a warlock we didn't even need weapons of light once we were out of heavy 2 people focused on mines one focused on skolas until bombs were dismantled

1 ReplyYou should only be able to fight the boss if you have played the other 4 rounds. So if they kick you they have to finish with one less person.

2 RepliesWell, I haven't finished PoE on 34 and 35 levels. yet. But, Have you got Ruin Wings? If you have it, then why not use them. Other wise, why use Gjallarhorn? It is needed if Skolas has solar modifier. If there is a void, then Defender + Truth. If Arc, then some Arc launcher or even machine gun (such as Thunderlord). For solar modifier, Dragon's Breath is useful also.

It is not like you or your scrub lord teamates couldn't switch to a high impact sniper if you ran out of both sets of rockets and didn't kill him. Sorry they were aholes.
