I am talking about the VOG and CE raid gear going though the brutal stages of getting the acendent shards and radiant shards and having to level up spending those hours you could have done something better but were committed to destiny? If you are like me are the true 30's and 32's but now the new guardians don't have to do our painful work but you are unbroken guardian so sign here if you went though that!
Edit: I saw all the replies sorry if didn't get to reply

9 RepliesHow was CE hard... I had three level 32s before the hard raid was even released... VoG sure, but CE was just as easy as PoE. Hell 1 run of CE is faster than 1 run of PoE.
-
Yep. Never made it to 30 when Atheon was the bearer of dickery though Made damn sure I got 32 when Crota showed up
-
I was a VoG 30 early october. CE 32 was a joke still, and now 34 is somehow more of a joke than 32. I guess next expansion we'll login, do some story missions and get a full set of maxed level 36 gear with perfect intellect/discipline rolls..?
-
Yep hated the drop rate of gear but if it doesn't glitch it's a fun raid good old vog...still need fatebringer lol
-
It was a pain to reach 29 due the lack of legendary gear in the rng system i had to buy everything from crucible /vanguard vendors and doing conflux and relics on hard as a 29 was a pain in the ass atheon was almost impossible due the difference between enemies and you
-
Yes LV 85 in EverQuest
-
Those were the days lol
-
-
I remember being stuck at level 28. Those were the days....
-
1 ReplyLevel 29 during VOG raid was the worst time ever. Still never got full sets for all my characters.
-
That forever 29 grind was real.
-
2 RepliesYes Crotas end was a grind
-
1 ReplyForever 29!
-
1 ReplyNope....never completed any raids + never been in the crucible.
-
Yes, fun stuff when saying I could solo right conflux was a big deal and a great help to the team in vog. Also having gjallarhorn to solo a portal at gatekeeper.
-
I know the struggle. Being level 29, needing one more piece, and getting duplicate gear for weeks lol
-
1 ReplyI do remember the struggle. I remember being so pissed about how vendor gear was better than my vault gear after crota dropped. And even more mad when I saw how ugly the crota gear was compared to vault gear.
-
Got to 32 with Iron Banner previously, all armour required shards, now that same armour is LL42
-
Yep, I put a lot of hours into destiny from launch. The sad thing is that my ps4 died and I have lost all my progress and stats. Bought destiny for my Xbox one now and in a way I'm grateful that they have made it easier because I don't think I could put all those hours back in to get where I was on the ps4 version. I started Xbox version like just over a week and I have got max rank already haha

#forever29 ;-)

2 RepliesYep. I managed to get to 30 on my three characters before The Dark Below. To this date, with more than 60 VoG completions, I've only received the Hunter boots once. Those times of Forever 29 were harsh.
-
I did dozens of Queen's Wrath missions back in October (the real Queen's Wrath Event) and dismantled the armor pieces for Ascendant Shards before that was patched. I had plenty of shards to get to 30 once I finally got a full set of VoG gear.
-
I did it on VOG and Crota
-
I like that its easier mostly for the fact I can have more fun and do stuff not NEEDING to finish it just doing it for fun. And it gives me more crucible time
-
Grind to 30 was the most fun playing VOG . They missed the grind but also missed the best part of the game
-
1 ReplyAnyone who got this game day one or at least before Christmas probably endured the grind to 30. Then again to 32 come TDB release. The kinderguardians may not know the struggle but they also never know the enjoyment of learning to use the relic that first time or taking down crota when you're a level underneath him.
