To those that want to sit back and snipe
You're so damn boring!
Pick the main lines of engagement ASAP and just sit there and snipe, and then when the revives come in, snipe again.
Do you really get enjoyment out of that?
Get in a frickin gun fight!
Yes I am one that can't really quick scope or get head shots that easily on a moving target. I try but I shotgun more.
This post won't change things, but at least I've got it off my chest.
No flawless this week for me on this map, sniper's court.
EDIT 1: I have gone back and played trials again, only for the sake of practicing with my sniper. It went well. No flawless, but got up to 4 wins and in the losses the matches were very close.
As for my sniping? Well, I managed to get at least 1 headshot a round on average which is good. More practice needed to make it feel natural.

How I feel when SG noobs get sniper -blam!- all day. Entertaining for me but not for you. This game already panders to CQC. Blink Invisibility Slide + extended slide Mostly every map is setup for CQC to excell and appear the most often. And what do snipers get? A giant -blam!-ing red flashlight that says hey everyone look at me! In other shooters you had to anticipate the lines of sight and assume a sniper. The game didn't hold your hand.

2 RepliesHmmm so you are telling us to shotgun? I hate using a shotgun it requires no skill... I snipe and scout/pulse because I hate to die. If I don't die then I can't lose unless there is some idiot on my team charging in with a shotgun or thorn.... No skill

I often see snipers with great kds on the loosing side in iron banner. They set themselves up in a great position, get a few kills, then most people just find other areas or take different routes. Snipers make themselves look good but don't really help the team

Nothing is more satisfying than a headshot with a sniper. It's very enjoyable. I will continue to use them.

4 RepliesI remember getting 9 kills in one round on Pantheon because I sniped two people on the other side and their third was so dumb he'd pick both up, I'd headshot both, and repeat. He didn't stop at all. 8 kills on his dead teammates later, he decided maybe he should outsnipe me instead and that was my 9th kill of the round.

Hopefully I can then go from campy sniper to agressive midrange sniper and be an overall better player. I don't understand how shotgun primary players even enjoy destiny. Trading kills most times is a pretty lame way to play the game.

1 ReplyI actually went flawless using a shotgun throughout the whole time this week. It's best too rush too the church then flank or if you spawn at the bottom just simply push left, well that worked for me and my time anyway.

7 RepliesI love how someone is complaining about sniping rather than blink shotguners and thorn users. Sniping is hard to get good at, especially if someone is good/smart enough to avoid open sight lines and get close enough to do real damage.

Somewhat agree but also disagree. I personally am very aggressive with my sniper. But sitting back is a legitimate strategy if the other team can't counter snipe.
