High rof, low impact Scout rifles.
Has anyone found a good use for them? I feel they're underwhelmingly useful. Just tried using the dead orbit Luna on a strike but it just felt like I was using hard light. Is it good for pvp or should I just get rid of it? It's on my 33 Titan if you want to check it out. It has a good roll.
Edit 1: just looking for if high rof/low impact is worth the time for leveling.

1 ReplyI have Luna and maxed to 365 it's ok but was hoping for a bit more really. It's virtually a Suros with fewer rounds and no health regen. Think the nobeless will be better once I rank it out. It's pretty much a purple VoC with no burn.

That scout you have on your Titan is a really good one. I personally think scouts are worthless cause HC's will put out more damage always, but in crucible that's a really good legendary primary.

2 RepliesDon't know mate, I always run hand cannons in pve. VoC used to be my go to scout pre-TDB. Just started getting back into them, but more for PvP, just picked up the vanguard (one/one synthese?) and the crucible one. Scout seem pretty underwhelming in pve in general.

2 RepliesHere is a super good advice. If you are looking for a pve weapon, dismantle anything that doesnt have some type of elemental damage on it without even looking at it. And Bamm There goes 50% of garbage weapons out of the equation.

NL Shadow 701X is great in the Crucible. It rekks on Widow's Court.

I reckon one with full auto and high stability would be quite good in pvp with something like high caliber rounds and crowd control thrown in.

2 RepliesHigh ROF low impact scouts excel in Pvp when using full auto. If it has high stability it becomes what we all wish pvp auto rifles were. High impact low rof scouts are better without full auto.

The lower impact SRs can be good for groups of lower level mobs. Not that great against majors and other meaty targets. So they can be useful depending on the area.

That dead shot luna is amazing if you can roll it with a stability perk. Me personally, just rolled it with full auto and braced frame, can't wait to test it out. We had a kid using it against us in trials and he was beasting, puts you down fast.

They're a lot of fun when killing low level enemies- if you get some precision shots. Otherwise, they are quite weak in my opinion.

3 RepliesDeadshot Luna with Full Auto and Crowd Control is just fun to use. It's not great for high level activities and the kill times are a bit too slow for PvP, but for anything else it works perfectly fine. If you roll the right stability mods, it's like an auto rifle of olde with a small magazine.

I love my Luna. Has full auto and firefly. I'll admit it's not my goto, but when I feel like playing casually, it's an extremely fun weapon.

I was doing some work with the fallen scout rifle in pvp, granted it was regular pvp and not leveled enabled however I had a friend using it quite nicely in trials. I'll just stick with my devil you know for a legendary, it seems a capable substitute though.
