So, we've all seen the train-wreck that is Trials of Osiris, and how it embraces unbalanced PvP. The question is how should it be balanced next week?
EDIT: To everyone parroting the same crap ("HURR DURR DURR, GIT GUD"), piss off. You're not contributing anything, or discussing why changes shouldn't be made. I got Flawless on my characters, and you know how I did it? Vex Mythoclast, Last Word, and the Ram. It's boring as shit using and seeing the same weapons and rushdown tactics over and over. If you deviate from this, you lose because PvP is a gimmicky joke. Unless Bungie pulls a miracle and balances PvP forever, it will never be truly competitive.

How about no thorn and shotguns. That gets old real fast.

14 RepliesEdited by itzJson: 5/26/2015 10:29:31 PMSkill based matchmaking. People who have yet to win a match should not be put with people who have had flawless scorecards, etc... Elites should go up against other elites so there could be a ranking system. Casual players should go against other casual players until they move up in rank, etc...

Edited by Whiteace: 5/27/2015 4:42:42 AMNothing of the above. It is balanced every team competing has both. It would be unfair if one side could use supers and the other couldnt, however that is not the case so it is balanced. If it were completely balanced each game would need to end based on who is closest to the capture point. The way you tip the odds in your favor is by playing with two others you flow well with and are good players. You beat the trails with a lot of skill, a little bit of lucky and no excuses. Anyone can use a weapon in this game however to use them well is a different story.

1 ReplyBiased poll = scrub crying. It's fine as is, add an option for that.

No Thorn
-
3 RepliesAll I want is spawn flips each round...

18 RepliesNo supers and no radar.
-
2 RepliesRemove thorn from the game
-
1 ReplyThe only thing that would balance it is to nerf the brightness from the sun in the background.
-
7 RepliesHow about none of the above? The only thing ruining it is people still playing it after completing a passage. You should only get one passage a week, only if you completed said passage. Keeps the elitists out until the following weekend.

4 RepliesEdited by DCRevolutionary: 5/27/2015 3:58:24 AMNone of the above is an issue. Exotic locks in at the beginning of the match, not allowing you to change... (so heavy round isn't always a gjallarhorn/truth round) And no thorn

NEW CHOICE- nerd thorn

7 RepliesUmmm... has anyone noticed that the map never changes? I mean, it's pretty obvious. I would change that. Yep.

Truly the only thing that needs to be balanced is the RoF on the Thorn. I personally think it should be slightly less than TLW. I got flawless using red death and snipers so it's not a must but it could be changed at least slightly.
-
1 ReplyReally wish you had put an "other" option. Biggest problem I ran into in trials was attempts at Thorn spam. That gun is too damned good, needs a friggin nerf. Ended up being pidgeon-holed into using red death with max armor. Also, a map with more range will be nice. That map was too small, scouts had no place. Otherwise, both teams get the same advantages (supers, radars, etc.), so it's not unbalanced. Taking away those things doesn't change the balance at all. If you meant what would make the mode require more skill (on top of what's needed already), then that's a whole different thing.

4 RepliesI think it is fine as is but I think if I could remove one thing it would be the radar. People abuse the radar. People either rush the red flashing on the radar or run from it.

Like this comment for "None of the above."

None it's amazing.

In my opinion is balanced. Why want it to change. It was a struggle for me to get 9-0 but I completed it. Work harder. It's the most challenging pvp event, and it does not need changing.

I think its pretty solid as is. Only suggestion I can think of is swapping spawns every other round or somethin. Mix it up a little. That's all.

Don't be a -blam!-

None of the above.

MIDAs only.

1) No supers. I will wholeheartedly admit to being the guy who rushes the enemy heavy ammo in round 4 with Fireborn, Firebolt Grenade, Viking Funeral, Touch of Flame, and Praxic Fire. I have wiped entire teams at least 80% of the time doing this. This, among other things, makes Supers very imbalanced in ToO. 2) better match pairing. One match, im facing people who cant find the virtual safety on their weapons, next im facing the fukin Korean all-stars. 3) more maps. Having only one map makes ToO get stale really really fast. You see the same strategies over and over and over and OVER. It's insanely uncreative.

KEEP IT THE SAME.
The only true problem with it is the players hacking and cheating their way to 9-0.
