How in the hell has anyone beat him? He was the second boss for my group when we tried PoE 32 last night, and it seemed like every time we took his shield down, he regened it to a different damage type. And then all the other cabal seemed to just keep spawning at a ridiculous rate and had so much health... Anyone have advice on how to beat him?
Apparently the Gjallarhorn is a must have for this...

-
Alot of patience and every type of burn weapons.

1 ReplyMy team didn't have a ghorn, we just stayed in the beginning area when you first come out, lots of cover just take out the adds then light him up till he changes shields. Rinse and repeat.
-
3 gjallahorns equalled a 20 second kill for us, I was amazed as I'd had issues with him the first time
-
When it gets crowded rotate.
-
There was a certain spot behind this wall that me and my fireteam got behind that valus rockets couldn't hit us. That only left the cabal major and the multi element shield to deal with.
-
All 3 of us just switch our heavies to cover all 3 burns. Once his shield was down we just laid into him.
-
just have a range of different damage types, kill all ads before you damage big ol fatty. we did it without a gally
-
Two manned it as level 32
-
me and my 2 buddies used Word, Fate, and Vison...Murmur (one of each element) and a void fusion..and 3 gjallarhorns..killed him super quick..just when you start, run to the far left and hang out over there. and the weapons i listed are for instance..I ran Word, Murmur, and Gally.

My group killed him in less than 5 minutes. He's quite easy really, we took his shields off with our primary and special weapons and burned him with our Gjallarhorns.

When you go in the room, take a left, and go all the way to the back. You'll se a 4' wall. Jump over and stay right up against it. Values will stand right on the other side. Shoot him right in his big ol turkey lookin head( corresponding elements). Some captains will jump over but it is easily manageable with helm of st14. My load out for Poe has been; Fang Invective Void jolders hammer.

The team I was with designated a rocket for each member. So each person was responsible for their own shield. We alternated from side to side killing the ads while they approach. Once they're clear, we call the shield and the respective person downs it and everyone goes ham. A bit tedious, but a lot less wiping.
-
Just kill all adds then have all teamates(?) Go ham on him with whatever elemental damage his shield is
-
The trick my group used was to stay together, attacking him as much as possible,. The adds are highly numerous and a pain to take down, but they move slowly, so it is quite possible to migrate to various hiding spots at the edge of the map, and they'll only reach you at a staggered rate, which gives you the means to continue attacking the boss without too much harrassment. Just circle around when you're feeling the pressure, and you should be alright.
-
Someone clearing with Invective when you hid in the corner is nice.

1 ReplyHe's easy as balls m8. Go far left and there's a little wall thing he will walk up to that you hide behind. Enemies will still come at you so you still need to kill him. Run gally if you can but I don't think its completely necessary. Have a raid primary for elemental and a shotty with different elemental damage. I was running VoC with an arc hide and seek 42. When his shields are solar u can rain hell on him with Gally and shoot with your primary. When arc just use the shotty and void, unless you have good void guns just take the shield down normally
-
Ghally weapons of light camping spot I 2 manned it while I was a 32 my friend doesn't have ghally

It takes a lot of teamwork. First split the team up so the extra minions split up too. Every time he spawns minions each member has to take out their section of minions. Once at least 2/3 members are done all members attack the boss. You really only need 1 member as shield breaker while the rest can use whatever they want. Rinse. Repeat. Pick good teammates.

We beat him in 20 seconds and I made a video to prove it. 3 upgraded gjallahorn's and I f s over
-
Just need constant damage on him not that hard
-
Gjallarhorn, Thunderlord & Truth (Or nova Bomb)
-
Was awesome to beat! I loved the fight team work is definitely a must and having a titan definitely increases your odds of success
-
Maybe you should try gitting gud
-
Yah we use changed our primaries for his shield and nuked him with Ghorn once it dropped. Kept a felwinters solar damage for rushing ads.
