Special Ammo Synthesis might need to be removed from Ether Chests
I think I speak for many people that I have acquired so much Special Ammo Synthesis that I have 5+ hours of removing them from the inventory.
Why do ammo synthesis not stack infinitely in the inventory? 20 is the maximum and your inventory can only holds 20 slots and the Vault does not separate consumables from ships, emblems, shaders etc.
Certain items like Ascendant Material, Radiant Materials, Exotic Shards, Glimmer Consumables stack infinitely where as others do not.
What gives??

For anyone farming for treasure keys I recommend this: -In your consumable inventory leave it full. Special ammo synths stack to 20 fyi.( if you have a treasure key leave it in there) -the keys only stack to 5 on your character and in your vault -farm away and once you get to 4 keys, transfer 3 of them to the vault and or to another character (this ensures this still keep a lot open to gather more keys) -Rinse and repeat

2 RepliesOne use for the excess of special ammo synths is invective bounty. Last step requires 50 special ammo synthesis, if you were to purchase all 50 from the gunsmith it would cost you 12,500 glimmer. Its not the most available option all of the time since the bounty is needed in order to do this, but if you do happen to have the bounty, it's a great way save you some glimmer, and get rid of excess special synths (again 50 per bounty).

4 RepliesI don't think it was Bungie's intention for us to be farming these chests so easily, so it probably wouldn't have been such a big deal under normal circumstances. Thankfully I had an empty character slot, so I whipped up a quick character for the sole purpose of storing engrams and dumping all my synths into him. After HoW I'll transfer out the engrams and delete the character. Voila, bye bye special synths. For those with three characters though, good luck clearing out hundreds of synths.

Meh just bank them for Nightfalls/PoE or an Invective bounty for the free shard.
