Your first few etheric light...
The question... With your first three, very difficult to acquire, etheric light, do you upgrade your weapons (Fatebringer, VoC, etc), or do you boringly use it on armor to get to 34 (keeping in mind that Iron Banner probably starts a week later)?
EDIT: I realized the answer is fairly obvious just as I hit "Post", but I'll leave this up for discussion since I think most will not think it out and won't agree with me because of it.
EDIT 2: Apparently, most people have thought this out more than I gave them credit for. Armor first, is the way to go. Ascending your armor and getting to 34 will give ALL your weapons and armor a boost, rather than just a 10%-20% boost to a few of them by using them on weapons. Sorry 365 Fatebringer... You're going to have to wait.

I will upgrade 2 pieces of armor and get one from PoE to get to 34 and then upgrade my Fatebringer to 365

4 RepliesArmor... you can purchase new weapons from the Vendors (if you've saved VG/Crucible Marks) and/or upgrade an Exotic or two if you've stashed some Shards. The Level advantage will be better than the higher ATK value in Iron Banner... Higher Leveled characters still perform well with rare weapons or partially leveled Legendary or Exotic Weapons.

8 RepliesI will have to wait and see what I get from vendor packages first. I should be able to put together gear quickly so maybe I will use it on an exotic weapon like red death. I might skip the banner next time around since I have everything I want from it. Unless they have something new ( not likely) So my guess, I will use it on an exotic primary and and exotic armor piece.

Ascend armor so you can play high level PoE and be good at trials

Exotics use exotic shards, so use these to get your critical armor and go to weapons upgraded. Etheric Light goes to armor first. Get the highest level which will make farming Etheric Light easier.

It all depends because I have about 250 strange coins and countless other materials to spend/trade. Plan on updating VOG weapons first because they are at 300.

First im gonna see what PoE piece or armor is being sold the first week. Then upgrade a piece other than that.

AFTER armor, I'll go fatebringer, black hammer, and my against all odds. since it takes only exotic shards to upgrade exotics, I'll level up my obsidian mind, ice breaker, and bad juju immediately.
