Live Stream Recording of House of Wolves:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z6sq_KWeGU
THE HYPE IS REAL!
Key Highlights!!!
•Deej stated, that every week leading up to HoW launch, they would be doing a live stream of the new events and activities.
•Etheric Light is used to upgrade our old items, you get it from Nightfall, Trials of Osiris OR the Arena
•Exotic shards used to upgrade exotic items instead of Etheric Light
•Queen Emblems/Shaders WILL BE SOLD AGAIN and items will be loot drops in the Arena
•Can now reforge legendary weapons at gunsmith
•Speaker now has currency trading (Ascendent shards for trading glimmer and energy, etc etc)
•Trials will be on the WEEKENDS (Friday -Tuesday)
•Arena apparently will be dynamic meaning changes to it every week
•House of Judgment Vendor will sell the "raid gear" every week (one piece at a time I think) but is bought with a reward from the Arena (so no more RNG based drops)
For ALL information available in the stream, nicely summarized in one place.

Why no Raid isn't something to cry over:

Here is the actual proof this image is legit and was not in anyway posted by Bungie.

This one however, is the official image that Bungie did create. Notice something? No raid or details were ever mentioned about HoW on the purchase image.

And then there's this. Literally smashing all reasons you had to complain about the lack of a raid and all your bullsh** entitlement.

AND ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS, WE ALL SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ACKNOWLEDGING THAT BUNGIE HAD THE RIGHT TO CHANGE, AND EVEN REMOVE ANY CONTENT, IN-GAME, OR DLC, ANYTIME THEY WANT.
Let me break this down so even the trolls can understand:
VAULT OF GLASS - A great raid that was riddled with glitches for months, received mass hate, but still was successful. A minimum of three people was required for this raid. Gear had to be grinded for like no other.
CROTA'S END - A small raid, no bigger than a strike, and could be beaten in the same time. Team was not required whatsoever, whole raid cheesable. Gear tossed around like candy, and full of so many ghosts in the system, Pac-Man quit his day job. Received incredible amounts of hate, and overall was considered a failure compared to VoG.
The Arena - A mode surrounded by mystery, but full of rewards. Will have its own vendor, and is an activity that will change every week, so it should prove less grindy. Something fresh, still offering an end game vibe in rewards, and in difficulty. Has some involvement with Queens Wrath, and was stated that armor dropped would allow you to reach Level 34. This activity will be scheduled on a weekly reset basis, meaning new chances for rewards every week.
Trials of Osiris - A PVP event that will take place Friday -Tuesday (reset). It will have it's own vendor, and will take PVP to a new level. This event is not replacing Iron Banner, and is said that it may occasionally overlap with IB. Unique armor that is rumored to be Level 34 with an Egyptian style theme will be rewarded to those that participate, allowing multiple outlets to reach max level and customize your appearance. (A LIVE STREAM OF THIS EVENT IS SCHEDULED ONE WEEK FROM TODAY AT THE SAME TIME THIS ONE TOOK PLACE, KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR MORE DETAILS.)
Next Raid - Still announced for release, however assumed to be delayed for further testing to prevent another Crota's End from happening. Smartest decision yet given that rushed content is bad content. May come with comet, may come out late HoW. TBD.
All in all, if you quit this game over not getting a Raid at release of HoW, good riddance. We didn't get VoG the second we bought Destiny did we? And yet it still worked out perfectly. I'll be enjoying two new additions to Destiny while you cry over a delayed raid.
WHY I CALLED CROTA'S END NO BIGGER THAN A STRIKE:
The first strike (Devils Lair) in the game has:
1. An opening area (Spawn)
2. A three wave battle room.
3. A hallway leading outside.
4. A mini-boss fight/room.
5. And a boss room.
Crota's End has:
1. An opening area (Spawn)
2. A big dark cave where you have to run from one side to the other.
3. A bridge where you have all players cross a bridge.
4. A hallway with some thrall and 2 Shriekers.
5. A medium sized area where you fight the Mini-Boss and Main Boss.
And the Devils Lair is one of the faster and smaller strikes in the game. I rest my case.
Now VoG however has:
1. A spawn WITH a building phase.
2. An opening jumping area.
3. A three step battle room.
4. An 7 step battle with Oracles in that same room.
5. A Mini-Boss fight in that same room.
6. A labyrinth filled with Gorgons and 2 chests you have to navigate.
7. What was intended to be a jumping "puzzle".
8. Another room with 3 steps and 3 Gatekeepers.
9. A Main Boss fight in that same room, consisting of 2 other mini maps
Funniest thought just came to mind. This is the first time Bungie has actually mentioned another raid since CE. In other words, Bungie just told its community that they were working on more content, and people are still crying.
***EDIT***
So I simplified this post into Spoilers so it wasn't such a huge wall of text and to make it easier for my readers to navigate. Hope it helps :)

1 ReplyI am 100% with you. I was saying the same stuff the day they announced that there was no raid and people bashed the shit out of me. I'm glad people are turning around and having an open mind.
-
1 ReplyAmen! Shut these bottom feeding cretins up.
-
1 ReplyI could not have said it better myself.
-
1 ReplySo true. All of it. All those quitting Crybabies will be back when they hear that the new raid (Given a little time) is gonna be even more fun and challenging than VoG. And less glitchy than CE or VoG.
-
1 ReplyJust beautiful
-
3 RepliesI agree with everything but the money part. If someone offered you a donut for 20 dollars but instead have you half a bagel? The bagel is still nice but it's not what they said it would be and it's not as good so you'd probably want to pay a little less for it.
-
1 ReplyThank you so much for posting reasons.....i was feeling my intelligence drip out my ear with ever troll post and raid bitching i saw.
-
9 RepliesWhen the game was announced Bungie did state a raid with each dlc. Just saying. Doesn't matter anymore as a lot of the fan base has died off even before this announcement.

1 ReplyIM THE 700TH COMMENT
possibly
2 RepliesIm not throwing a temper tantrum but raids are the only thing i really do each week. After j finsh them i go play something else. I was looking forward to the raid but thats one less thing for me to do.
-
6 RepliesI am happy. I am so glad there is a new game mode. I hate raids! Raids are elitist. I will be happy if the new mode just requires 3 bad ass mother -blam!-ers to shoot the -blam!- out of any mother -blam!-er stupid enough to poke their soft heads out of cover for half a second!
-
Good to know that many others maintain a rational mind to all of this.
-
1 ReplyWell done sir. You slightly put my mind at ease. It does my head in that people can get so upset over something they preorder. LOL
-
13 RepliesLet me ask you a few questions OP since you seem like you know a lot. How long do you think that it takes to create a raid from scratch that has as much content as VOG?
-
14 RepliesThe problem is pre-ordering. People started to believe there was a formula to the dlc's like there is with call of duty map packs. They thought there would be a raid. When a company the size of Bungie likes to keep things a "secret" but at the same time charge you for it. That's a problem. I didn't buy the DLC because of the way this game is being run. It's stupid to be buying content that's partly on the disc but at the same time not being properly informed of what said content actually entails or when it's even being released. It's close to a scam. It's unprofessional and trust has been lost for all future DLC releases from here on. I'm not crying/trolling and I have my life figured out but I can also understand why people are angry. Defending bungie on this scale makes me think you're a whale. Apparently you don't care where your money is going and will happily buy the mystery box. Good for you, but others disagree.
-
Finally someone else that gets it. To sum it up, for me at least, them not releasing the raid right away is to make damn sure the raid is good. I'd rather wait longer for a good raid then a rushed crappy one. *cough crota cough*

2 RepliesThis post is eye candy for reasonable people. Please accept this cyber beer, as a token of gratitude, as you have just served up the criers' entitlement on a plate.
