To everyone NOT pissed off, NOT butthurt, and NOT threatening to leave
You are the reason this game is in a downward spiral circling the toilet drain.
When you don't hold devs/publishers accountable for shortcomings, broken promises and straight up lies to the community you are enabling the rest of us to get ripped off. Let's be honest, whether you personally thought TDB was worth the money or not you must admit it failed to meet the expectations of many and had generally mediocre reviews. Crota's end can be soloed in around 20 mins. Eris Mourn is basically worthless once you reach rank 4. All 3 new exotic weapons are almost universally viewed as the worst exotic for their respective category. Don't even get me started on the new story missions that don't have a story or the exotic upgrading fiasco. Now we are finally getting a look at a new dlc that most of us bought sight unseen and it is missing the one activity that sells this game by itself and has entire websites dedicated to organizing people for groups. And being angry at that is an "overreaction" and I deserved to be muted for complaining. Please stop trying to sound like the North Korean government.
I know I'm not the first to say this and I won't be the last but this game is another in a long line of games that took advantage of favorable advertising and release dates to push out a mismanaged, unfinished product that made money off of hype and pre-orders. They knew it wasn't ready, they knew it had no story and they knew coming out in time for black friday with unbalanced gameplay and huge gaps in the plot would still make more money than coming out with a polished, quality game later.
While it's true Bungie never promised us a raid, it's also true they knew we expected one. Why else would that be such a big point in the news release. With so much of the content in TDB and HOW already on disc one must wonder what Bungie has been doing all this time. Both raids still have bugs. Iron Banner is still the only special event. Vault space is finally getting addressed after 7 months. The last pvp "balance" basically just made auto rifles and pulse rifles switch places. So really what have they been doing?
Bottom line is if you aren't upset or at least disappointed, maybe you need to take a step back and really evaluate how you are spending your time and money instead of rebuking those that voice dissent.

While it's true Bungie never promised us a raid, it's also true they knew we expected one. ^^^ I could use the counter argument that my wife never promised me sex but I expected it. Also, being angry over something like this is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do for a while, but it will eventually get you nowhere. I am not at all upset or angry with the decision to hold back on the next raid to refine it to make sure it is not the cluster that CE turned out to be and I am not rebuking those who are dissenting against Bungie's (or Activision's) decision to not include the next raid AT THIS TIME. Just remember that there are those of us out here in the wild that have a more tolerable look at how things are unfolding with the game.

There's these little stores (I'm sure you have one or two in your town) called Gamestop. They have this ingenious program where you can trade in your old games for store credit. Now I don't have the exact price, but you probably could get 20-25 bucks credit for Destiny. Hey didn't MK X come out today. Reason why I suggest this is because there is absolutely no reason why people should be getting this worked up over a freaking video game! If this bothers you this much why are you still playing? And if you say it doesn't, then why are you writing multi-paragraph rants on the subject of a mode in a video game that probably will never effect your well-being in life one bit?

8 RepliesI just don't get what people who aren't pissed about no raid plan on doing in the new dlc? Horde mode, all day? Blech. Also, why and how are we supposed to hit a new level cap without a new, end game experience? And what took so long to develop, pushing HoW release back, if they weren't planning on including a raid? I just don't what Bungie is trying to do. I'm not gonna freak, either way...it's a game and there are plenty of them. It just seems to me that Bungie has been actively shooting themselves in the foot since this game was released.

9 RepliesRaiders are the minority. They're being smart and trying to give out a new mode that may have a wider appeal and more people will play. You are not the voice of the Destiny community. The majority of Destiny players don't even use the forums. Sit your ass back down and know your place.

Im more excited for h.o.w then i was for crota. But if its gonna be all repainted reforged guns again and some slightly diffrent looking legendary gear then i will be dissapointed. Real curious for the new social place too and hope its surrounded by a cool open desert kinda atmosphere.

If you want to leave fine, but don't blame me if I am having fun. I did not like COD so I do not play that game, I did not like Boarderlands 2 so I do not play that game. I did not like Dragon Age but LOVE Mass Effect so I played Mass Effect and left Dragon Age alone. Even though I did not like those other games I never once told anyone not to play them in fact I suggested friends to try all of them because each person like different things.

I thought it was common knowledge never to assume. The game being in a downward spiral is nothing but your opinion, I personally think it gets better with each update. I'd much rather then add some other than a raid if it's going to be mite replayable, and make the old raids relaxant relevant.

I am not reading that whole thing but I will say a lot of you cry babies say people with reason are ruining the game? If a large portion of us have thag control than chances are we are the majority and you are just the whiney minority.
