Why did I get kicked from a raid because of my age
Who here think that it was stupid for me to get kicked just because I'm twelve years old?

14 RepliesEdited by Brick: 4/13/2015 12:21:57 AMNo it's not stupid. Raiding is already sometimes a daunting task. Only w ppl your age do you see extra ppl in a party chat who aren't in the fireteam. Your voice is probably more than a full octave higher than it someday will be and nothing is worse than your buddies popping in to chat about geometry class while wer trying to take out Crota. You also only have 7 raid completions, a low Grimoire, and no 32s. Your inexperience plays a huge roll in this as well. The worst combination to play with is someone with a high pitched voice, friends jumping in and out of party, and inexperienced. I would boot you or anyone like you 10/10 times (ESP if you had those garbage, unleveled weapons equipped). I don't have the time or patience to deal with any kids other than my own, and even they drive me insane sometimes. I get that raiding is supposed to be hard, but ppl like you only make it harder.

An extremely skilled team. It mainly depends on your maturity level. I don't wanna hear parents screaming to take a shower in the background. I don't wanna hear some Vevo YouTube video through your mic. I don't wanna hear you uttering some shitty mainstream rap lyrics...& hearing it all through the squeakiness makes it considerably WORSE. if I get into a fireteam w. A youngin their skill level generally doesn't matter to me, as I find it rewarding helping people through the raids...but not if they're douches. EDIT: okay...you're using Skull of Dire Ahamkara on a Sunsinger...I would've kicked a grown man w. 2800 grimoire for doing some dumb shit like that...

EDIT: I don't kick people because of age, I kick them if they are rude.

It's kind of annoying to listen to kids squeak when they talk and most the kids I played with like to think they know everything so I either mute my mic and enjoy or they end up rage quitting.

Which raid was it? If it was Crota, then they probably kicked for 3 reasons: • Implied lack of experience due to low Grimoire score. • Fairly unimpressive gear. • And they probably didn't want to have to deal with a kid who would probably start talking smack. Not saying that it was right, but that was probably why they booted you. My advice; go run VoG or Nightfalls and focus on levelling up your gear. Try and get a more respectable Grimoire score by looking for ghosts, playing Crucible and by getting more exotic gear.

It happens... people are nothing like they try to portray themselves as on the internet. So don't worry when some 800lb living in his mom basement with no life spending his day making videos about himself playing a game kicks you from a game... they would have just rage quit anyway and your better off for not having anything else to do with them. Enjoy the game... you young kids can out game most of us yet some morons are too self absorbed to see anything beyond their own steamed up plasma screen.... Enjoy REAL Life More... Even I'm way more important in the real world than I would ever be in this game or on the internet... in reality, I have people actually depend on me for real... whoaaa!!! And without any little perks or bonuses and the wife won't allow 'Exotics' in the house, so the stripper pole just sits there... waiting... Arrrgghhh....
