So in the weekly update last they told us that Cerberus Vae III took the longest to complete and had to lowest completion rate as nightfall, and what do they do a week later. MAKE IT THE GOD DAMN NIGHTFALL WITH NO BURNS. What the actual hell man?
Edit: wow this took off a little bit, wasn't expecting that

I hope they're high. Maybe they'll get a little creative with the story then.

1 ReplyYeah I defend Bungie all the time for this game. I think it's much better than people give it credit for. And I think Bungie is trying to do something that hasn't really been fine from a conceptual standpoint. This is something like a slap in the face. I can't believe that they would admit that this strike was seemingly harder than they wanted it to be, announce a patch to make it easier, then make it the nightfall before the patch goes live. And with no burn. I know some people are commenting that they don't control it. It's just rng. But that's stupid. They have to have a backdrop into the system where they can fix it if something crazy happens. When xur's inventory was opened they were sure quick to fix that. But here we give them a pass. Because they can't change the nightfall? Isn't that in and of itself a major problem with the game? I'm super disappointed that this is a thing. I expected better.

4 RepliesYou do know that nightfalls have a pattern, right? We knew weeks ago this would be the strike. We k ow next week's as well. And the next. And the one after that.
-
It took off because you are a prime example of the idiots in this community that actually have time to bîtch about shit like this. Seriously? Get a life you dirty ass sniffer go out and get laid or do drugs anything but this PLZ your making these forums soggy and moldy.
-
Pretty sure all the nightfalls and stuff are planned in advance, and nothing in this game is hard anyways so get over it
-
They've been high. Just rotating through the drugs.
-
If fleshed out a little this mission would make quite a good mini raid.
-
2 RepliesI actually think this was intended. Perhaps they snuck the one third health reduction in on this one to see how it plays out?

High on their own supply

28 RepliesEdited by Varzin: 4/7/2015 2:19:50 PMDoes anyone else here remember the very first time this strike came through the Nightfall rotation? I do, and let me tell you, you don't want a burn on this strike. Let go through them. Void - NO Cabal deal void damage. This would only serve to help the player. Way too easy for a Nightfall. Arc - Only one Cabal deals arc, Psions psionic blast, still too easy for players. So with both void and arc eliminated as possibilities that means the only possible burn is solar. This is the burn we had the first time, and it turned this Nightfall into a nightmare. Everything does solar damage in this strike, including all of Valuses attacks. Sure it's possible for a few skilled players, but that's not the point, the point is that many player who normally complete Nightfalls would be left in the dust. EDIT: I just checked and found that the first Cerberus Vae III Nightfall rotation did not have solar burn. I was initially working off memory This is however irrelevant as my primary point stands, with so much solar damage flying around, often with AoE and especially in Valus Ta'arucs room, it's not hard to imagine how much more difficult this strike would be with solar burn despite the potential benefits. That's all I'm trying to say.

Yeah, April Fools Day was last week a-holes...
-
They're a bunch of assholes.
-
lol, I know right?
-
I've never played this with a burn. In fact it's always got the same modifiers. All bungle is going to do is make his health lower and change some movements of the bosses

Edited by DISN: 4/7/2015 2:06:41 PMPro-tip: This game's weekly events are generated just like they did in Reach, which was random. They don't decide on the fly what they're going to be (they probably can change them considering what they did with Xûr, but in general they won't).
-
This strike is not hard at all, just a little more time consuming, so it takes an extra 15 minutes, big deal?
-
1 ReplyGotta stay high all the time HIGHHHHHHH
-
3 RepliesThey're giving the guy one last hoorah. Don't hate. :-P
-
It never has burns. It's not that hard, I really don't know how it's the hardest/longest strike... Good luck guardians with the troll
-
You can fly past half the strike and there are like 4 cheese spots in the boss encounter. Not that hard...
-
Typical. I've never seen a studio with a more obvious case of "Team A wasn't talking to Team B."
-
There's a big amount of people saying the nightfall is too easy, so Bungie is basically saying screw you. Stop complaining about something and when that complaint is dealt with, you complain again. Ju know wha I mean
-
I'll still finish it 3 times. Who the he'll can't finish a nightfall. Never had that happen
-
Just Bungie being Bungie I guess.
