So my buddy calls me up and says, "Hey, real quick, if you could only play ONE game from now to the end of time, what would it be?
I am still floored. I can not choose.
He said you can't just say"halo"or "call of duty". It has to be the specific game. Halo 3 or cod black ops 2 etc.
He said, "it's tough right??" He then went on to tell me his process of elimination.
"I narrowed it down to 3 games then went from there".
Black ops 2, but I don't think I could play blops multiplayer for the rest of my life. So I dropped it
Skyrim, you could keep running new characters but the game is linear. So I dropped it.
Borderlands 2 is what I picked. Numerous characters and skill trees. You can farm the same boss for loot for hours to try and get a drop.etc.
When he asked me, I immediately thought...destiny. but, out of all the games would it be that?? I'm still on the fence.
What would be your game? It has to be specific and has to be out.(No witcher 3 etc Imagine it would ALWAYS be supported as well.
Edit: I am getting back to him tomorrow. I said I need some time. feel like I need to go out to an old field, sit, stare at the sky and do some soul searching lol.
But, I decided to share, because I was struck on how hard it was for me to answer. Such a simple question... I am making a top 3. Believe it or not, for replayability, minecraft is on my top 3 list lol. Carry on.

Edited by iosappsrock: 4/8/2015 7:01:12 PMDark Souls. Not sure which one. Or maybe Bloodborne. No, definitely Bloodborne. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Minecraft? Jesus. Should have said that at the beginning so I didn't waste my time reading the rest.

2 RepliesWorld of Warcraft is the best answer. No matter what you have played or done, there is nothing that offers more content then world of warcraft. Thousands of hours, days, even years of my life spent on that game and there is still more to do. Raiding hard mode, now called Mythic, with a set group of friends your "Guild" is weekly fun that never gets old. And if it does there is always "the arena" for capping your conquest points for more effective pvp gear, if PVP isn't your thing there are practically unlimited quest to complete in the game. Player housing with your own little town that you run and construct. An active and very alive economy where players can trade barter buy and sell, work on professions and collect trinkets pets and other little nick nacks to complete their toon. That's just the tip of the iceberg for World of Warcraft and that's if you only had 1 toon. If I was forced to pick one forever game it would be WoW, however there are several drawbacks to playing wow at the highend, one being the massive time consumption you need to "Keep up" with your piers. I stopped playing wow at the start of March and came back to destiny. If I picked wow back up right this second I would be so far behind my former guild mates in gear and DPS (damage per second) that it would take me a good chunk of time to catch up and be back up to par. Its for this reason that its good to put wow away and have more free time for life and other video games.

Red dead redemption

Skyrim or Oblivion

So many youngster answers. Super Mario Bros. Is the correct answer. It is infinitely replayable.
-
2 RepliesMaybe WOW because of the infinite supply of unique characters you can make.
-
1 ReplyDestiny. Its going to get better and filled up with more content as the months go by.
-
I don't like minecraft very much but I would have to choose it to be the only game I could play
-
Cave Story+. It would take me till the end of time just to finish the Blood Stained Sanctuary. If I couldn't have that, I suppose either Bloodborne or Dark Souls 2.

Most any good mmorpg can keep you going for years if the devs have their heads on straight....
-
No brainer for me, rocksmith is all i need, Everything else is just for the lols.
-
Monster Hunter for the win.
-
Your question is too OP. Cannot process now.

Sorry I have to respectfully disagree that Skyrim is linear. I'd hate to see what you call some old school on rails games. There are so many ways you can play. I do like to do the first mission and follow the imperial to town but after that? Many possibilities....

Edited by merlinsteele: 4/8/2015 5:48:02 PMI want to say Destiny, but till the end of time? Skyrim..because I probably missed some places to explore and a lot of various posibilities of character customizations, don't forget the skill trees! Edit; sorry folks. Answered Then read the post...lol.

GTA 5 Destiny Dragons dogma Most likely GTA 5 just because of the online variety.

TES IV oblivion, with the x360 dlc... The most hours spent on any game - ever. Still play once in a while. It's simply a perfect game It was freaking mindblowing when it came out

1 ReplyThe first goldeneye :)

Borderlands 2. . . Ehhh! I feel like BL2 gets dull really fast. But then again I'm pretty critical about variety when it comes to games. I'd probably say . . . WoW or Mabinogi. Maybe League but that's really pushing it.

Pokemon Snap
