Also, I'm just curious to know, who's the main character?

12 RepliesShit. I would be happy if they just threw together a bunch of cg scenes and made a movie telling the story of what exactly happened/is happening. I still am not entirely sure who Erris's Raid team was. Didn't it have Toland the Shattered in it? Shouldn't Bad Juju be in the Hellmouth then? Who else was with Kabr in the Vault of Glass? When was the horrible accident that left The Queen's Brother with a stick up his ass?

6 RepliesCan't tell from DeeJ's weekly updates. Dude struts around like he invented fire.

Obviously some of the Bungie team were aggrieved at how Destiny turned out - they decided to leave the company..

8 Replieswhy says the story has to be completed in one game? one of the longest running series games of all time was ultima which took place over a decade-ish. no one knew the story until many years into the game and the entire story wasn't brought about until the end

6 RepliesYeah a bunch of the team quit a few months before launch because they were not happy at all that what they worked on for ten years activision came in and altered most of it and removed a bunch of content most of what we're playing in campaign is the exo storyline and restricted most of the rest of the content. I personally think that they do care and are working on turning this arrogant act by activision into something positive that the community can enjoy more and more. As time goes on it will get better the creators do care they do. But the suits are the ones with the final say as they control the money. So hopefully between our feedback and the dev teams efforts they can see what we want is where the money is.

8 RepliesEdited by Blazinace: 4/6/2015 2:13:26 PMyours hopes and wants will never be answered. search the history. people have whined for many many months unanswered reality sits in that they dont know and will never admit to failure because that would destroy their false sense of being superior in their own minds. example heavy ammo bug took months to fix. and that was for us. atheon being pushed off the edge fixed asap. crota kneeling fixed asap. they fix that which benefits them first and once in awhile throw us a bone. just look at the god complex they developed by having millions of followers and only having to throw us scraps every so often to keep us following. yet when one of us so called "cheat" their game and put a ugly mark on their self absorbed egos. they get right on that s*it and patch it. another huge example. the masses are whining bout inequality in pvp. being most peeps using the ar. keyword most. they nerf that ar right out of existance. what we fail to see is that it was punishment for being whiners and they are sick of the whining. it hurts their egos. so they put the godsmack down on us with that nerf and it hurt the masses not the minority.

5 RepliesYour character is the main character. There is lore surrounding the things you encounter around the world of destiny. The Grimoire really fills in some blanks. Check it out sometime.
-
Main character is you, Dr Shin, who was brought back to life by "Ghost" (The Traveller saw no reason to let self-aware robotic flashlights forged from "light" and machinery have names) after looking for you for a long time, to pickup the weapon that was "meant for you" -- the Khostov- and to do nothing of importance with it - but please accept this strangers rifle and remember- we know the fight is "out there." Meanwhile Bloodborne has been pretty fun! Lol

2 RepliesThey will probably just say 'oh you've been in a time loop. I know it seems like you did everything 9 billion times but it was really just once' story fixed... :/
-
The main character is the dead moon thing in the sky. Duh.
-
1 ReplyYeah Bungie. Why didn't you make a storyline that even the most uneducated could understand huh?

4 RepliesI guess you've been elected troll for the day and you're doing your best to create one negative thread after another. Keep it up and you might win a second term or maybe you'll just be given the title Troll for Life.

Although I disagree with you as far as a story line there is a story behind everything just not suited to all taste. As far as the main character my assumption it is the Guardian.

4 RepliesThink of Destiny in the same way you would a TV show. Right now, we are in the first season of Destiny, the vault of glass, the cabal on Mars, the Dark Below, etc can be seen as episodes. We don't know the whole story because we haven't experienced everything yet. Do you get mad at the first season of a TV show for not telling you what season six is gonna have? I agree with you that the lore and story so far was poorly presented. The grimmoire not being in the game is just inexcusably bad. But, if you take the time to read through it and connect the dots, you will find the Destiny universe has very deep lore and story.

??????? Lmao

1 ReplyIf you think this game has no story, go play bloodborne.

2 RepliesYou're the main character. We're all the main character. The story is still growing, it's not done yet do that's why it's confusing. Probably intentional as the idea us that we are just now pushing from Earth to retake what was once ours. Also the narritive is on every peice of gear, little quote the NPCs say, things you're ghost says, the Grimoire and even the scenery tells a story. To me Bungie has tried to create a narritive that you can only fully experience if you're in the mindset of a Gaurdian that searches for answers. Heck I just recently figured out the story behind VoG. That was from my own assessment of reading gear descriptions and Grimoire cards and the various things you did in the raid. I understand that reading and figureing out a plot is tedious and unwanted by many but it's a narrative I personally enjoy. When I made my Exo Warlock I imagined him as an ageless investigator/inquisitor. Curious about what was lost, what is yet to be found and our enemies as well. At the sand time burning the enemies of the traveller away with light fed Solar Grenades. When I play I try and lose myself, I could care less for getting the best gear, but I am happy I finally got The Chance from FWC, mmmm Grenadier. I simply enjoy the experience and adventure of it all. So to summarize. It does have a great story, just need to look at it differently. But hey if you don't like reading and piecing together a mystery, you can focus on shooting things and getting better loot. That's fine to.

1 ReplyGood question. Bungie plz answer.
-
No, they didn't.

4 RepliesThe game does feel lacking. I would like to know how Bungie plans on expanding the story and when it will be implemented. Going on eight months now and I have a ton of questions that have not even been acknowledged or answered in the game.
