Tower Vendor Most In Need Of More Uses?
And what are your ideas for what they could be more useful for?
Edit: Excuse my poor word usage in the title, I couldn't exactly think of how to really word this correctly.
[b]Edit:[/b] Looks like the Gunsmith is the least useful so far! And few think that the Cryptarch or the Postmaster could have any more uses! And an honorable mention is Tess Everis from Special Orders!

They all need an overhaul and more uses. I mean who visits the Vanguards anymore aside from maybe the occasional armor piece? Those three are supposed to be the Guarians' leaders. They don't lead, they stand around a table and offer stale voicework for strikes...except for Cayde, he tries. The Cryptarch has many many problems including being an unnecessary middleman. The speaker doesn't speak, he stands around doing nothing. He provides nothing useful. The Shipwright has ships and bikes...okay they have a use. Fair enough, but she could have more exotic ones every once in awhile. I've only seen anything from her higher than a green rarity once. And the gunsmith...the frakking gunsmith...the voice of Bender/Marcus from Gears of War and they waste him on the gunsmith. Oh deary dear, someone needs to be smacked in the head.

1 ReplyI'd personally hope that The Speaker would give very difficult bounties worth great rewards. Usually the rewards being high amounts of XP and either Glimmer or Motes Of Light.

They are all pretty useless. Cryptarch is probably the most visited vendor and that's just to turn crap in and leave.

I use the gunsmith for ammo synthesis if rather spend glimmer than strange coins. The speaker is a waste of time for me

Why include the post master? The cryptard, bounty tracker and postmaster are the most used NPCs in the tower, their jobs are simple but always needed, regardless of level. The others just fade off into the background. Vanguard, crucible and faction vendors still have their uses as they at least sell legendary guns worth a damn. Special orders is just that... A place for bonus content. But the others that sell ships, shaders, emblems, class items and green or blue stuff get left behind. The speaker doesn't sell much, but at least what he sells is pretty sweet.

He's a gunsmith. Gunsmiths don't just make weapons; they repair and even *gasp* upgrade them.

2 RepliesGunsmith. I haven't talked to him in months. His only purpose past level 20 is to buy rare fusion rifles for the pocket infinity bounty. I propose that he should sell a small selection of randomly rolled legendary weapons each week, and that you should be able to go to him to "reforge" your legendaries for a huge fee.

Gunsmith should have a chance to sell legendaries sometimes. I'd for sure check on his ass every time I went to the tower if he did.
