Cheese the crucible part of mentor missive. .
So I need some help to make this work. I'm sure there's a few of us who dread the crucible ,but you have a mentor missive bounty taking up space . My solution is pretty simple cheese it. We need two full fire teams who's leaders are able to communicate outside the realm of destiny chat. Once we have that we go to the crucible and exit the maps until we find the other team. Then we take turns killing each other without all the hassle of regular crucible killers. If everything goes as expected it should work with one or two matches .I'm on playstation 3 . Doing this tomorrow evening 4 pm. Central standard time.

Just so we're clear I was not able to cheat this bounty. I wanted to but couldn't find enough people with questionable morals to help.

I rarely do this but you sir are a friggin scrub loser. You don't deserve the gun if you cant get it legit. It's one of the few things you truly "earn" in this game. Hope you get banned for boosting.

There's only really one gun in this entire game that is supposed to be earned. The other exotic bounties are too easy to consider earned. And people want to cheat their way to that one gun. For Shane

I finally finished the crucible part of the thorn bounty. The only thing I found helpful was not to worry if the kill counted as void or not. I have a whopping .56 k/d ratio but I still finished the thorn, invective, and bad juju bounties . Thorn was by far the hardest of the three. Even with voidwalker warlock.

I'm not crying that it's just too difficult at all. I have slightly over 200 of the 500 points needed with >.5 k/d I can definitely finish the bounty. I'd just rather not spend my time working on it when there's an easier way.

if I could pull it off during the last day of Iron Banner with no Void Primary ..... you can do it on a normal day. just shotgun it up ( or use the fusion you have equipped) .. there is more then enough special ammo to make it a primary.

1 ReplyMy solution to the thorn bounty I had...I deleted it. If it's not enjoyable to do, don't do it. That's my philosophy. If I find myself angry and cursing it's not for me. I'll wait for TLW to drop or xur sells it again.

4 Replies..and people say all the scrubs are on Xbox..dude it's not difficult...I'm probably one ov the worst PvP players here,but I've done the thorn bounty & the juju countless of times...I love it when it drops on my hunter...it can be done in less than a week...2days if you have it on your warlock......come on plz hold the "cheese"....

No doubt it's cheap . And I do believe some things should be worked for. But the only way to get it is the bounty . It's not that hard to do. Anyone with a k/d >.25 can finish the bounty. If there was another option to get the weapon like xûr selling it or random drop I'd do it. But other options don't exist. Think about this , is icebreaker less desirable because it's on xûr's list? Or how many people would buy the crux of crota if available . The only way to get a crux is to beat crota's end on hard mode a minimum of twice. Some things should be earned like the iron banner armor. But how much worse would it be if all the crota raid gear were available in some other way. Wouldn't make the gear any less desirable but it would make the iron banner stuff more desirable.

5 RepliesEven if I don't like thorn because it's not very good at pve. I Still want to complete the bounty. If only to shard it. I'm not asking everyone to see things the way I see them. to me crucible is a terrible grind, I don't want to be good at it, I want a full collection of exotics and to be able to spend my time playing the parts of the game that I enjoy.

Seriously guys it's not that hard, as long as you break even you'll always gain points, hell as long you don't go double negative you always gain points. You can get 5 void kills and die 5 times and you'll still gain points. It's sad seeing people trying to cheese this.

I'll admit I looked for ways to cheese this as I was terrible at pvp and simply wanted the gun for pve use. I ended up deciding on a random unexpected day off from work to give it a legit attempt. I completed three exotic bounties requiring pvp work. Thorn, bad juju and invective all in about 2.5 to 3 hours. My Kd is still bad because I just don't play pvp however I avg ,32 Kd and for the time I ran these bounties I was at .95. Being patient and really working at it got it done. Give it a try.

In my opinion this is cheap and almost insulting to people that actually do this bounty even when they hate crucible. This game should be approached like any other, if you can't do it, you don't get it. This goes for the same people who expect to be carried through Raids, I understand lacking experience but atleast pull your weight.

Seriously it's not that hard, if I found players boosting to get thorn in a game I was involved in, I'd make sure you'd be coming out with a negative score. Just play the game.

Boosters are tiny little girls pants with clown shoes. Getting that gun won't make you a better player in the Crucible, and they're not really all that useful in PvE.

Sad that people think that just because it is too hard for them, That they should try and cheat it.

Or just DELETE THE MISSIVE if you are too bad at the game to complete it.
