First and foremost, allow me to just say the following: everybody -blam!-s up sometimes.
Okay, so I recently saw a post about a guy who sharded his swordbreaker by accident. Very unfortunate. So I was thinking, may a feature could be implemented that prevented us from deleting a certain weapon. It could work something like this: when you hover over an item in your inventory, you can toggle a lock that can prevent that item from being deleted.
I understand this is probably not high in Bungie's to-do list, and is really a bit of a commodity, but I think something like this in the future would be useful for those times you've had a rough day or are playing on little sleep.

They dont need to add anything. You could just, -get this-, pay attention when deleting. Its not hard at all
-
If we added that then they would have to take away a feature to cater to last Gen players
-
Bump. I've done it
-
1 ReplyBecause hitting X or square and then waiting isn't a warning already?
-
I have deleted the wrong gun before. Be more careful with your toys.
-
7 RepliesI think an easier fix would be just to allow you to buy the weapon once you've unlocked it. Kinda like the special orders. Once you have it you have it. You can't buy another one with one in your inventory already and you can only get an exact duplicate. No re rolling.
-
This would be nice to have. I've never dismantled anything I want before, but I know I've come close
-
13 RepliesOr you could just pay attention... I have never even came close to doing this. NONE of my friends have done this... You must be a special kind of slow if you manage to do this. "But I was being distracted" Then don't dismantle anything until you are paying attention, if you do this, you earned the loss of that weapon.
-
4 RepliesThey already made the dismantle time drag if you're dismantling an exotic or legendary. If you still mess up, it's all on you. Just deal with your loss and "keep on trucking, like the gay kids say". -Strange Wilderness
-
Never had that problem but I guess for others it wouldn't hurt.
-
3 RepliesIn many other games I have played there is a feature to "Fovorite" weapons/gear/items so that you don't accidentally delete, or sell them. Why not here as well?
-
2 RepliesHow about you look at what you're doing? Why should the rest of us have to suffer longer breaking things down? Just stop being retarded and use youre eyes for once. I hope a pet shits on your pillow.
-
4 RepliesThis could easily be fixed. If you hold the dismantle button over your slot or weapon, the bar rises. When it's completely full, before the weapon is dismantled a prompt comes up and asks "are you sure". If you mess this up you deserve to lose your weapon. I have never messed up and dismantled something that I didn't want but I can see this happening when I get careless and dismantle quickly
-
I accidentally dismantled my Three Little Words, I was sad. Then I bought another one.
-
Yes please!!!
-
I was thinking about this same thing. It's something I'm always worried about doing. Luckily I haven't done it to anything too important yet
-
1 ReplyOr at least a fail safe screen that pops. When resetting a mission or raid it pops up and says, "restart this mission?". Why cant it do the same with legendary or exotic gear? "Dismantle this legendary/exotic equipment?"
-
No idea how you hold down x or ps thing for 2-7 seconds on the wrong thing
unless your drunk

:)
-
Can we implement a c@ck in your mouth to make STFU? I'm kidding breh, but yeah, that's a really good idea! Almost dismantled my P&T the other day XD
-
3 RepliesFor all you that dont have a gally...i constantly hold dismantle and stop justtttt before it actually dismantles...hahaha much fun for betterer
-
I would love for this to be implemented. I accidentally sharded a Harm's Way with high stability once. I'm very careful with dismantling weapons and armor now. Having something like this in place would be very convenient, especially if you're carrying a lot of good gear on each of your chars.
-
I love my Swordbreaker. I would be so upset
-
SUCH a great idea! It kinda puzzles me why they didn't have this from launch
-
Love the idea I almost crapped my pants once thinking I deleted my gjallarhorn
-
2 RepliesThere are bigger issues that should be addressed and people should pay attention to what they're doing
-
I like the idea. I have not deleted a weapon I want to keep.... yet. I have come close before, when in a hurry and not paying attention, so I would welcome this little bit of insurance.
