So wait, we waited months for slightly more vault space?!
We waited months over months for only 16 more weapons, 4 more armor, and 6 more items (not 100% on the items one but in that area).
Seriously Bungie? This is what we get for waiting so long? A smack in the face!
What do you guys think? Is that enough vault space for you? Or not. Personally I think they could've been much more generous on the space. I mean seriously.

People seem to be misunderstanding why im frustrated, I wouldn't mind this amount of vault space if they incorporated it into the game quickly. But they took [b]months[/b] to add a few more slots. It's just upsetting that Bungie can't do anymore than that over that amount of time.

I don't know what to think of it to be honest. On one hand I am thankful that they heard us and implemented a slight upgrade/update. On the other hand , I call utter BS on the "old gen" excuse. My only assumption is that this is treated as an "update" rather then something as a DLC package bolt-on. That's my 2 cents anyway.

I would imagine that since a new social area is expected with HoW, then a new seperate vault will probably come with it. Surely it is easier to add a second desperate vault, coupled with the new area?

If they are limited to how much can go on screen then turn the diffrent vault ares into buttons that take you into diffrent screens for each part. Or idk do the magical thing called give new Gen more space because people need to stop living in past gen.

Did you read the update? They have an older generation of consoles to worry about. They can't just tack on a ton of vault space. And on another note: people are reporting lost items as is. Adding more data to Bungie's servers is likely going to increase the likelihood of this happening unless they are very careful. 24 extra slots of vault space is nothing to scoff at.

11 RepliesMemory constraints man. It's not that hard a concept to figure out. Old-Gen consoles simply can't properly manage the increased amount of items on screen past what they are giving. That's it. Doesn't matter if we waited 5 years, the old consoles will not change their hardware. People need to upgrade when possible and destiny needs to move forward in light of that.

So you could have written the code and beta tested across 4 consoles and PCs quicker? If not, I'm not sure you have any reference for how this works.

Wrong. They spent months working on other issues and concepts. When the priority list finally presented vault space as a project, then they decided on this course of action, and it was implemented quickly. Just because the forums have been bitching since launch about it does not mean Bungie has been working on it that long. Theres alot of misconceptions about how the real corporate world works. And Id put a good chunck of change that Activision has their hands deep in the development priorities.
