There are bad atheists and good atheists, bad christians and good Christians, bad Muslims and good Muslims. There are not more good people in your group than in another, or more bad people in another group than yours, and your personal experience doesn't change that.
The sooner you realise your team is not the enlightened special snowflake team the sooner we can get back to actually creating a better society.
On a side note, I find it interesting how most Gods don't like people worshiping false Gods, meaning money, power, other Gods etc., yet a lot of people put the process and business of their religion before their God. The religion is not your God, God Is. Your local preacher is not God, your holy text is not God; they are part of your religion. If you want to know what God thinks, ask him directly; second-hand sources are unreliable and may very well be distorted; indeed your whole religion itself may be unreliable and distorted, since it is a second-hand interpretation of the God it's purporting belief in.

I don't hate religious people. I just wish they would be better critical thinkers.

The Sun denies you! All who worship the most glorious of lights are truly enlightened, both physically and philosophically.
