Which Faction Is The Most Well-Intentioned
Simple question. Which faction do you find to be the most pure, noble, respectable, etc.
Back your reasons up with evidence. Counter someone's response with evidence. Grimoire, dialogue, etc.
I was with Dead Orbit for a long time, although I eventually began to feel like I was working for the wrong team. Grimoire says they're willing to do anything and everything to save us. That makes me a bit uncomfortable. Meaning if they had to for whatever reason, kill our own people, they would do it.
Not to mention, their base of operation is in a corner of the hangar bay, next to a bunch of crates.
I switched New Monarchy recently. They're closest to The Speaker, they have couches (respectable) and The Executor was once a toy maker. Gifting the children of the city? Sounds like a good guy to me. Counter me with reasons not to follow these guys.
Also, may I note that a Dead Orbit Grimoire card has a conversation between a D.O. Rep, and a ghost. He seems like a nice guy. Although he talks about keeping an area away from The Towers knowledge.
Anyways, let's get to conversing, Guardians!

2 RepliesI've leveled my Hunter (my original character) to rank 3 with each faction. Below is a very brief summary of the viewpoints of each faction. Dead Orbit: Earth is doomed. Don't trust anyone. Our best bet for survival is to abandon Earth and find a new planet. New Monarchy: Establish a hierarchy and return order to Earth. Bring all factions together under New Monarchy's Rule. Future War Cult: The only constant is war. We must prepare for war, as it is both imminent and necessary. I prefer NM's approach, but that's just me. I like the idea of diplomatic domination and power.

Why does nobody ever consider that dead orbit might be right? Yes I agree killing/destroying the enemies would be the best solution. But what you forget is, fwc and new monarchy might fail.. What then? Dead orbit could find a new, peaceful home, away from all the destruction. If the traveler was left behind what reason would the darkness have to follow? It got the traveler it got what it wanted. We would be left in peace.

They are realists, and accept the fact that to end this Darkness and suffering, a war must take place, and we must be ready to fight for our world, and what we believe in. They don't try and cower in the City (New Monarchy), nor do they want to run far far away (Dead Orbit), they accept their fate and face it with a passion and determination that will allow them to win their freedom.

Future War Cult would probably fail in their crusade against the darkness. We all know how the assault on the moon turned out. New Monarchy's goal of creating a central government is technically already achieved because of the Vanguard/Speaker who created order in the city after the Faction War but it in my opinion, it is still the best idea of what the city should do.

3 RepliesCreepy old FWC is not well intentioned, even in the slightest. They conduct inhuman experiments on people and are focused on starting a war. Dead Orbit at least is focused on preserving the human/exo/awoken races and just wants us all to not die, unlike FWC. New Monarchy has it all going for them when it comes to being well intentioned. Their leader used to be a children's toy maker. It doesn't get better than that. (P.S. Red Hand is awesome)

Future War Cult: The future war they have foreseen is the Exos warring against everyone else for dominance/independence so they are like terminators. Dead Orbit: Wanna leave and do their own thing as Awoken overlords. New Monarchy: Humans who wanna be seen as superior over Exos and Awoken. All factions are in it to put their race ahead of the others.

Running away will work until the Vex we aren't killing figure out how to make Vault of Glass ontology weapons in the real world and delete us all from existence. New Monarchy wants Zavala to be king. Zavala doesn't want to be king. So they kinda are pointless. Future War Cult knows the only way to earn humanity's survival is through fighting.
