Got kicked for not being lvl 32..on an Atheon cp
I was lvl 31.
So..yeahhh. Um, really? To the squeaker who did,(I don't remember who he was because he unfriended right me after) eff you. But seriously guys, it should be common knowledge by now that being over 30 doesn't really increase damage output/input. Also, if I join sporting a mic, Oracle disrupting weapons, and a decent Grimoire score, I think the benefit of the doubt should be given.
Has anyone else ever dealt with something this stupid? I'd love to hear about it
Only Edit: turns out we're trending, people! Also, it's great to see so much support from the community and I'm definitely getting a few laughs in from some of these posts.
I am happy to say that I was able to get into another group and beat Atheon pretty easy. I got shards so, woohoo

Thats stupid. I would run it with lvl 28 people. Hes easy to beat as long as you know what your doing.

1 ReplyWhenever I run VoG, I usually drop to 31 so I can use the raid helmet with oracle perks on it. Also oracle disruptor weapons are a must (especially with idiots trying to use Crota weapons thinking they'll take out oracles on hard).

You wouldn't want to raid with him anyway. Think about it, if he needs 32s only, it is probably because he is really bad which equals multiple wipes.

Was with a group that wouldn't let me do anything as a 32. I lost my temper and started yelling about how ignornat they must be to think 32s can do relic and a 30 can't. They got real quiet after i bugged but i can't stand when people start spreading bs rumors about 30 vs 32 in vog

I think it does change the damage enemies deal to you because the defense rating for level 32 is higher. But the difference did probably barely noticeable. But level 29s ran the vault with no problems so the squeaker is duumb.

I would have left no matter what. If you need to be lvl 32 to beat Atheon, you got no skills.

Bwhahaha. I hate dealing with dumb people like that. I did Atheon on hard many, many times before the DLC dropped as a 29 until I finally got the helmet to drop for level 30 (the -blam!-ing chest piece didn't drop until AFTER I had Crota gear!). I still swap to my VOG gear with ruin wings when doing the raid because of the perks, and because I damn well can.

Nope, if I do a lfg group, I make my own group so that shit doesn't happen to me and I make any vog raids 29+ but I don't think that is too bad

4 RepliesXmas noobs don't realize that lv 30s and 32s do the same damage in the vault. As a 32 your defense is a tad bit higher. But people have been running hard vog at 29 for a while now. Should be common knowledge that 29s and 30s with competent players can do the vault easily.

2 RepliesI'm normally fireteam leader, but the cool thing about me is that I take anyone into the VoG nowadays. Heck, a little while back, I let a 27 come into the raid with me. I had to make sure we had a decent amount of 30+s to compensate for him though

1 ReplyRunning crota with a bunch of 32s. One squeaker on the team complaining constantly that i, a 31, was on the team and would ruin everything. He volunteers to run sword, but as soon as we leave the crystal room and run to the center platform he says "I don't wanna run sword anymore." Everyone tells him to get down there and grab sword but he won't move. So two other guys scramble and we end up wiping. Then he blames it on me. Everyone went to orbit and left him. I was the last, and made sure he knew why everyone quit. Level can be important in destiny, but more often than not skill trumps it.

Exactly the same happened to me, except the unfriending cause i was playing with randoms+ the leader called me a piece of s#%t because i had no ghorn

2 RepliesI would take a 31 in any raid any mode. CE hard mode, ideally prefer 3-4 32s just for safety purposes, but you do not need 6 32s to complete it.

I was trying to join a Crota's end normal Crota CP. Got kicked for being lvl 29. I ran VOG hard no problem. Some people are just dicks.

You can always choose to report the player. Look them up in the Friends list under Recent Players.
