Got kicked for not being lvl 32..on an Atheon cp
I was lvl 31.
So..yeahhh. Um, really? To the squeaker who did,(I don't remember who he was because he unfriended right me after) eff you. But seriously guys, it should be common knowledge by now that being over 30 doesn't really increase damage output/input. Also, if I join sporting a mic, Oracle disrupting weapons, and a decent Grimoire score, I think the benefit of the doubt should be given.
Has anyone else ever dealt with something this stupid? I'd love to hear about it
Only Edit: turns out we're trending, people! Also, it's great to see so much support from the community and I'm definitely getting a few laughs in from some of these posts.
I am happy to say that I was able to get into another group and beat Atheon pretty easy. I got shards so, woohoo

3 RepliesIt's the skill of the player . Bottom line . 31, 32 doesn't matter . I did a roc strike yesterday with a 28 who wrecked enemies . Dude was everywhere. Hell, the other guy and myself on the team couldn't shoot fast enough to get kills. He was a bubble poppin, shot gunning, rocket launching, sniping hawkmoonin SOB. That's a guy I want on my fireteam. A beast .

I got kicked because I wiped first on Crota. I heard the leader yelling at me then yelled "5 4 3 2 1" and then I got kicked. Lol

I switch to Vault of Glass gear on my Titan if I'm doing vault.

If only the noobs understood the level cap was 30 at one point, & even then, alot of us just couldn't get past 29 because of RNG. They have it so easy these days. I suggest playing with friends. Better then playin with elitist randoms. Not all are bad, but still, most don't know any better

And that is why I don't stick around with squeakers running the show. Yes, there are quite a few folks out there where you could say, 'I don't think you know this game as well as you think you know this game...' I was one of those for the first few months, running silly patrols and effectively spinning my wheels on progress for the first couple of months after launch. At least with the long gap between TDB and HoW, I've been able to catch up, lol.

All these noobs forget that level cap actually used to be 30.. used to have teams with a few 29s and still completed it.

I actually put my VoG stuff on and go 30 during it just to justify keeping it lol. Its a level 30 raid. They are plebs

Honestly, I don't understand this "level 32 for atheon" requirement, or the "must have Ghorn for Crota thing." I have a group that consistently 3 mans the Crota raid, using 2 ghorns. If there is a group of 6, that means 5 people are shooting rockets, more than making up the required damage to get him to kneel. As for atheon - are these players really so bad that they require everyone to be a level 32 in a level 30 raid?

He had Fireborn equipped and died several times only to self-rez. Screwed up part was I was near him when ever he self-rezed. Just goes to show level means nothing when you don't play smart.

I got kicked twice from VoG last week for being level 30. full VoG armor/weapons. lol!

12 RepliesSo I always run a vault set for VoG and these kids thought I was inexperienced because I was only level 30 while they were all 31 and 32. If my grimoire doesn't say otherwise, you should at least look at my weapons and realize you're an idiot.

If you're a warlock, you can solo Atheon by making that big robot fall besides the middle platform :3

MFW I hear stories like this. ^ You just can't try to convince a squeaker that you're good if you're not in their eyes. I've literally heard a kid tell this guy who knew what he was doing on HM Crota, "Yeah, yeah, I believe that you know what you're doing and all, and that this way could work, but we should really try it my way." One of the fireteam members had to tell him to shut up.

I have to explain to one guy from my raid group EVERY WEEK that the 300 damage VOG guns (voc specifically) are better than the 331 damage guns in the vault. He's gotten a few of the raid weapons and just said "oh 300 damage, junk." And gotten rid of a few (including Atheon's Epilogue). Ugh.

Glad you beat atheon with another group. I kick anyone who throws a legendary engram at my face and then expect an exotic. I'll say "I'm sorry, it's uncommon... now get lost"

I got kicked by two 32s in a roc strike....I was level 30 I think....but only cause I was levelling some gear. Asked why and they said I joined them cause they were good and I was bad. I honestly just laughed at him cause that is just pathetic lol.
