Is truth really THAT bad?
So i joined this guy on crota and almost immediately get booted. They ask me if i have a tracking rocket. I tell them i have truth and everyone mummers "trash". Wtf some were using legendary rocket launchers. Why does truth get so much hate?

The good news is - ghorn and hunger both have clusters, so residule damage is maintained for the extra brief second or two it takes to hit. I was part of many hard run rocket teams with it. It works fine. I would say having at least 1 ghorn is a key factor. If there isn't a ghorn, in the group, then I'd say, there might be reason to tell a truth user they need to make way for someone with a better launcher. I actually seen this last night. The only ghorn user got tagged by a knight before we got out of the Crystal room, the hunger rockets didn't take crota down in the first volley. (Some may not have been 100% upgraded)

The people that complain about certain rockets are trash. I have a guy that always raids with me and used one way ticket for the longest time till he got hunger and gally. never had a problem on normal or hard.

I use it all the time on Crota. It does the job just fine. Since it does not have the wolfpack rounds, I fire my rockets and follow up with a lobby of primary fire to sustain damage if need be. Also, it's tracking is clutch in Crucible. And the rockets fly so damn fast. Pair it with sensitive proximity detonation and there is rarely an instance a rocket fired from Truth won't find its target.

Well to me it's just super hard to hit crota without tracking missiles. Then you'll just waste those precious ammo packs. But then again you could just let other people shoot him and use the beloved icebreaker 😊 because I don't have tracking missiles.

No, it's really not. With max velocity, it's fine for Crota.

1st best launcher for PVP... by far 3-4 best launcher in PVE comments that says it's trash are just noise in my opinion

14 RepliesThe only reason why Truth is not ideal for Crota is the fact the rocket speed is slow and will not help down Crota effectively since the timing will be off and the shield will regenerate between their rockets and yours.

1 ReplyNo, Truth is fine for Hard Crota. I should know, I downed Hard Crota plenty of times with Truth. It was my only good rocket launcher until I got Hunger of Crota, then finally BALLERHORN. It holds 8 rockets and it tracks. It's a better PvP launcher, for sure (if you want to use your exotic slot on a rocket launcher), but it'll get the job done just fine. The group you joined probably all had trash launchers and were hoping you would carry them. You're better off without em.

A group only needs 2 gallys one person double taps each down and it dosent matter what the other 3 ppl have. 3 ppl on hard crota is just as easy at 6 if the man on the ledge double taps and the boomer patrol shots one and primary.

I think you're lying. If I'm not running sword I'm running truth, and I've beat countless crota hard with truth without even one complaint about it. And I LFG pretty consistently. Please, if you're going to seek attention, don't do so at the feet of a great rocket, go bitch about Xur.

I've used Truth during Crotas End on both normal and hard. It's fine to use. They were just being pricks about it.

I like it, seems good enough. By the sounds of things, you got a lucky escape anyway. If they are willing to boot someone over something as trivial as that, it most likely wouldn't be an enjoyable experience playing with those personalities.

Truth is the best PvP rocket launcher by a country mile. Not great for PvE but getting kicked for having it in CE is ridiculous, you don't need the Galler to take down Crota...
