Who uses Iron banner gear over Raid gear?
I prefer the look of the iron banner gear.
Edit: Its great to see that other people want to try to look unique as well.

I mostly decide based on stats... In crucible I get more use out of the intellect boost from my IB boots than I do the heavy ammo from the raid boots. If I'm mainly running a scout rifle for PVE, I'll use the gloves for the ammo boost, but if I'm running a shotty and pulse rufle in crucible, I take the special reload speed upgrade instead. Plus IB gear is pretty cool looking, IMO

1 ReplyI have all raid gear but since I think looking like everyone else is quite boring I use the Iron Banner chest piece since it looks pretty good with The Hanged Man shader from Dead Orbit.

The only raid gear I use for my Hunter is the helmet because it looks awesome but every other raid piece is ugly as f. IB gear ftw

Considering i will obtain all IB gear and having most of the raid gear: - Raid gear for crota and Hive weeklies - IB gear for everything else

I mix and match them, depending on what weapons I'm using at the time.

Me, I hate the "tape hive bones" to everything approach.

I use it with Praxic Fire, but use raid gear in raids because of the perks.

I use both sets. The raid gear for hive related bonuses. Then again when I use scout rifles my IB gauntlets give me faster reloads with scouts.

Raid = new radiant materials IB = old ascendant materials Oh and it seems that the perks on the raid sets only compliment the raids themselves rather than the enemy races . Now ask the players what would be easier to upgrade because of the abundance of materials

The only thing I kept from crota was the helmet and that is because I have only seen the IB helmet once and that was the first time IB came out.

2 RepliesThe CE armor is pretty stupid looking especially that ridiculous warlock chest piece unfortunately I don't play enough PvP to get the IB stuff, maybe next tiime Bungie really needs to implement some sort of light level swap for gear so people can wear what they think is cool looking and every single player isn't running around with the same exact armor

I have 2 raid completions. I use ib gear everywhere I can. Got what I need for my lock to get 32. 2k rep and my hunter will have what she needs. My titan is gonna wait cause doing ib for all 3 will make my eyes bleed.

I just need to lvl my chest piece for my warlock and titan. I do think it looks better than every other piece of armor.
