I see a lot of people hating me on this forum as I'm pretty much the only person willing to stand up against 343 and for the good of Halo. I gotta say this is quite disappointing, I have tried to make people see sense and have failed. So I have made a decision to try and stop posting about Halo until the release of H5, because these discussion and the lack of sensible opinions from most posters on this forum legitimately upsets me, because these people are allowing the franchise I love to die.
So when H5 comes out and its population inevitably drops to 20k within a couple of months of launching, will I get any credit for warning people and will people finally see that 343 are basically just a bunch of useless hacks? Keep in mind that everyone will hate the game by that point because that has happened with every single Halo game since Reach: People on here hype the game up like the 2nd coming of christ because they are in denial, then it sucks and they finally have to accept it.
I advise everyone to bookmark this thread and revisit it upon the release of H5. Again, I won't be posting much about Halo until that point so don't expect many responses from me in this thread.

Don't worry, I like and agree with the fact you are bringing some common sense despite these idiot 343i drones.

1 ReplyI love how you say you are you only one bashing it, and want people to appraise you, I applaud you as a sack of shit, an Attention whore of sorts, maybe even a genetic embryo experiment gone wrong.

11 RepliesBut aside from the rather troubled launch of MCC, and the mixed reception of Halo 4 multiplayer, they've done fine by me. I somewhat enjoyed Halo 4's multiplayer, even though I felt that something was missing or not quite right about it. However, it was their first actual game. In fact, it's the only game that they've ever developed (CEA and H2A don't count, for obvious reasons). If we're going to judge them by that one game, though, I'll play you game. On the plus side, Halo 4 had a fantastic storyline, if a little bit too dependent on the lore, in my opinion. I'll admit that I myself didn't truly appreciate it until I read this well written and put together analysis of the themes and character development in the campaign. The gameplay itself was fine, as well. I don't mind and even welcome the addition of sprinting, and Armor Abilities I rarely use beyond the Jetpack. The multiplayer was, as I stated earlier, somewhat lacking. I'm not even entirely sure what was missing, either. Something just felt off about it. However, I still found it enjoyable in short bursts, and that's really all that matters for me. So, in short, they published one game that's of actually pretty high quality for a studio's first game. Sure, there were some issues with the multiplayer, but they addressed that with the Halo 5 Beta, and only time will really tell how much they will take into account the community's feedback on that matter. However, on the whole, they show a good deal of progress. So to answer your question, I think it is more likely than not that Halo 5 will be a much better game and a greater success than Halo 4 was. And, as a matter of fact, I think that, from what I've seen of the new Halo EU, 343 has actually created a much deeper and even better fleshed-out universe out of what Bungie left them with.

8 RepliesAll the skeptics are worried about the multiplayer. All the Optimists are hyped for the single player and/or enjoyed the beta. I don't see the problem? You're basically asking us to stop caring about our childhood.

I will. Too often have people called it, been told they are fgt... Then BAM, nailed it.

Why would you want a game to.be bad? I want every game to be good! If.a popular game is good it moves the media.forward

If it sucks, it sucks. But i'm being hopeful it doesn't.
