Iron banner is a !blamming! Joke!!!!!!!!
The lag is so bad it is really ruining the game.
I dont know how bungie can do this to players.
It is the worst experience and it is really ruining the game for everyone.
Please for the love of God, bungie fix your f&cking servers!!!!!!!!!
Edit: i have played all the iron banners.
Servers are just so shit. My connection is fine.

not had a single bit of lag at all, simply does not happen for me and my connection is nothing special (Wifi 20Mbps down/5Mbps up)

For some reason, every time IB is in town, the lag is soo real. On top of regular old lag, the connection/animal error codes are over the top. Every couple matches different members of my fire team were booted due to every error code from caterpillar to weasel. It gets really annoying when you are winning by 3k points and all of a sudden, boom, kicked to home screen with an error code. We reset our games, consoles and routers which seemed to help once in a while. Anyway, that's what is most annoying to me. Not being able to finish a match...

8 RepliesHere's the real issue. Last night iwas in a match every one had green bars but two players . Mid game everyone went red bars it was horrible . Then one of the shit red bar scrubs left and everyone went green the rest of the game . Clearly the red bar scrub had host and had shit internet . This is an issue with host all games need to give host to player with best connection bottom line . They also need to get rid of lag comp it's been ruining multiplayer's for a long time .

1 ReplyIt's a horrible lagfest, that's for sure. I always have a green connection and so does the rest of my team, which makes it only worse to get matched up agaist f?ing laggers. Id say 4 out of 5 matches we lose are because of multiple opponents being unkillable due to lag.

The servers don't cause you to lag, it's the lacklustre internet of the majority of the player base. Not to mention fire teams made up of players scattered all over the place, it can't accommodate every player due to distance. Thus the giant downfall of no dedicated servers.

2 RepliesFirst day no troubles last night wow... Just wow. I every game almost all players were red bar one player and he got sa massive score and 37 kills. I was shoulder charging people and nothing happens I get one shot with sg ages later they drop dead. It was awful. Took at least 6 games before I got in one with good connections

Unfortunately it's not just IB. In just about every crucible match I play I'm stuck with a red bar. I have an open NAT and 50u/20d internet service with ATT. My friend has 100u/50d and he too is always red barring in matches. It's not the red-bar player's fault for shitty game play (I sure as hell don't like playing with a red bar connection), it's Bungie's matchmaking protocol and their shit servers. If a player has a red bar connection they shouldn't be allowed to join the match.

17 RepliesJust to make it clear to everyone if ir hasnt already been. Our connections are not server based. It is all peer to peer. So if you are lagging it is your damn fault not bungies. Either upgrade your speed or just be quiet and suck it up.

Why do people play IB? It's not Bungie. Place is full of lag switchers and lag inducers. Makes any game not fun at all.

It's not Iron Banner is PVP in general. People even use lag switches or lag on purpose because it makes them invincible

The spot became a warzone for a second and that was fun, but c'mon, that shit still didn't open![spoiler] Then I look at the roster, and there are like 3 or so red-bar'd MOFOs playing...hate p2p so bad![/spoiler]

Yes this ib is deff way more laggy than the previous. Half the matches ive played no one has a connection. The other half im put into matches that r 3/4 over and one team is up by 20k points. It really is disgusting.

Yeah, the server has some to do with it, but not as much as you may think. Example: I used to have some shit connection, and I mean absolute SHIT, with wireless as well. I lagged ALL the time, had "red bar," would randomly go to a Strict NAT type, would get error codes OUT THE ASS, and couldn't stay in a game/raid/event for much more than 5 minutes or so with getting "Contacting Destiny Servers." Now, I have upgraded my internet. I now have cable (Comcast), run 60-100 Mbps depending on peak hours and who all is on my internet at my household. As well, my internet is now wired. I rarely have a "red bar" unless there is an unusual amount of activity going on in the house, and even when I do "red bar" I still have no lag. I used to think it was their servers too, until I got wired and upgraded internet. It's your internet connection, not theirs.

There was like 4 player that I can't kill. And the heavy drop is early or sometimes takes to long.
