Each obviously has its pros and con's but this for your "primary" weapon. Obviously a plan b is always necessary.

-Swords, axes, etc

-Spears, pikes, etc

-Crossbows, recurves, compound bows
[b][u]Throwing weapons[/u][/b]
-throwing knives, stars, hatchets, etc.
[b][u]Chemist[/u][/b]
-acids, poison gases, explosives etc. (This would take some knowledge)
[b][u]Trapper[/u][/b]
-build pitfalls, pungee pits, spring guns, etc.
(You would be able to secure an area very well)

-rifles, pistols, shotguns etc.
Things to consider:
Wear and tear
Ammo/materials (and the decreased availability with time)
Utility use
Hunting/fishing/foraging
Other people
Share what your first option would be and what you would use as backup to cover its weaknesses.

My style would be archer. I would carry a dagger and a pistol for back up.

If you have a bow archetype then you need something to clean the arrows. Every time you nail that arrow (if you even do) into a zombie, then you need to clean the disease off of it. A lot of people say that bows are easy to use. HAHAHAHAHA no.
