Hello everybody,
Just a few words to let you know my despair...indeed, I've been upgrading my rocket launcher "Vérité" since a few weeks, I only needed an "éclat exotique" to end the upgrade. I bought it to Xûr but noticed by the way that he was proposing amelioration of my "Vérité" rocket launcher ! I bought the amelioration and realised that it had reset my weapon without any upgrade...just at the beginning, without any "plus value" or anything...
I know that bungie doesn't give back weapon and so on after error...but it is completely unlogical to buy an amelioration which is downgrading your weapon !
So , Xûr is not my friend now !!!
Good bye,
Karezeg...

2 RepliesEdited by DoktorBoar: 3/14/2015 3:05:39 PMBungie does not make this shit clear. Especially to newer players. I only understood it because I had like every page memorized in the AD&D 2nd edition Players Handbook It's because if you had a pre dlc Verite (truth) it would have capped at 300 attk and doing this procedure (amelioration/upgrade) from xur would allow it to reach 331 but only at the cost of entirely resetting all progression nodes. I might suggest they have a way to lock out 331 exotics from mistakenly being upgraded again? Wtf bungie!

1 ReplyYou people don't compare them before hitting the button? Slow down and pay attention. All the info you need is right on your screen. The less time bng spends idiot proofing, the more time they have to fix things that matter.

2 RepliesThis seriously needs to be made clearer. What they could do is add an internal ItemID tag to the 331 version that disallows 'upgrade' reroll. As a curiosity, what happens if you have a 300 and a 331 of the same Exotic in your Inv and you do this? Logic dictates that the 300 has priority, but the fact that 331 can be rerolled into the same thing sans upgrades says that all the game does is reset XP progress and change the MIN/MAX numbers, so..
