kick the non Ghorn player
Really guys. I join a party after being invited to Crota hard and hear them all say kick the non Ghorn player (me) I have maxed HOC which in my experience does plenty of damage. Why are Ghorn players such tools!
Sorry didn't mean all Ghorn users just the few who think every other RL is obsolete

The only thing that requires gally is when you solo crota. Everything else, it's not necessary

1 ReplyI don't have ghorn so I use a 365 hezen vengeance which is pretty decent, and I can honestly say I have never been kicked for not having a ghorn but my friend has been kicked multiple times for not having his ghorn at 365

Joined a Raid group on my other account earlier. First thing I hear is a squeaker saying "We need Gjallarhorn to beat this." I swear on my life I was about to break my console. Not a damn requirement guys. I use it occasionally, but never on Raids.

I have Gjallarhorn. It is useful, but never forced. When people join me, GHORN is not needed.

First time I ran Crota, no one had ghorn, it was everyone's first try but the sword bearers... We beat it second try. These guys *sigh*

Ghorn definitely not needed. Hunger is more than efficient. In fact, I hate the delay of the wolf pack when running the sword.

Ghorn are a plus for crota fight but not a necessity! I was fortunate enough to have pick up two ghorns within two days apart from each other. But by no mean I'll ever kick anybody just because they don't have ghorn. About half of the ppl I raid with doesn't have ghorn. Shit some of them don't even have rocket that tracks. But we still manage to take crota down on hm and normal. Ppl that make statement like that are the one that think they are better than everybody else who doesn't have ghorn. Which is shouldn't be that way. Because destiny Is all about skill Level. Better weapons is just a bonus.

1 ReplyYou don't even need GHorn. Some people I raid with, ask that you don't use it because they feel the late wolf pack rounds can cause Crota to stand up and Instaslam. If you don't have HOC ,Truth or some 331 tracking rocket I could see getting kicked. Outside of that, stupid....stupid.

2 RepliesWe had one at the weekend, had a team of 5 doing CE Normal, made it all the way through to the last stage and one of our teams "friends" randomly joined us (yeah I know, we should have made it private only!) Anyway, he turns up and starts goign on and on about "whos got a Gjallarhorn" and all sorts of guff nonsense, basically slagging people off for not being lvl 32 yet and not having Gjallarhorns. Anyway, after about 5 mins of this we booted him and decided to make sure our group is private from now on. Guy was a total knob, first time I've ever had to boot anyone from the team.

Ghorn isn't THAT great; in my opinion it honestly helps take down the sword bearer better than Crota. Crota has extremely low shields to be honest. You just need to keep constant damage on him or they'll recharge instantly.

11 RepliesPersonally, I believe that Crota has been out so long now that those who kick people for a lack of Gjallarhorn are worried that they don't have enough skill to win without it. I mean come on, Crota is easy mode now--even on hard. I've beaten him many times, and I have never had Gjally.

5 RepliesGhorn is not needed in hard mode, HoC does just fine. I have both, but I use HoC because I prefer my Ice Breaker. What our team usually does is we fire whatever launcher we have at Crota, immediately switch to our primaries and continue firing. Gets him down every time.

I have a ghorn.... But no hoc. Which makes me so obligated to use it.

2 RepliesIf in the LFG post or w.e. Someone specifies Jelly and you join anyways, then it's your fault for not reading. That being said you shouldn't be joining newfags that ask for it in the first place. Jelly isn't an essential to beat the green giant, but it's really useful.
