For those who don't believe in evolution...
It really isn't a debate, evolution is a fact. Its not subject to belief or disbelief, its reality. A scientific theory is a proven hypothesis. Evolution is a theory, just like Gravity, and Cells are "just a theory". Micro and Macro evolution are fake concepts invented by creationists in order to debunk it. Clearly, that did not work. Evolution has been directly observed in animals with short lifespans like fruit flies. If you are going to reject direct, peer reviewed observation, yet trust in the bible, or the Qur'an or any holy book. You are creating a double standard. The burden of proof is on us, and it has been met time and time again.

Edit: I'm gonna rewrite this post as I don't like the message it is portraying and some of the feedback it has received. I just don't personally like how it was wriited and the circumstances it was written in check back in a couple hours for the new one.

What exactly did those fruit flies turn into? Let me guess... Fruit flies! Adaptation and speciation are observable, but nothing ever has or ever will be observed turning into a new kind of creature.

9 RepliesAlthough I respect all beliefs there are some factual errors in your post. First of all, you are correct in saying that evolution is a theory but it is not a scientific fact. A theory is a hypothesis that has been tested but it is still not accepted until sufficient research has been done to call it a scientific law. Gravity for instance is a law but evolution is not. Second the example of fruit flys you gave is an example of microevolution which actually has been proven to be a fact.( ie birds that have different beaks or different dog breeds) on the other hand, macroevolution( turning 1 species into another) has not been proven. Like I said opinions to each their own.

22 RepliesContractidted yourself in the first two sentences. Let's define theory, an idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain events. Furthermore, theory doesn't make a true. They say we came from mammals etc. So why to this day since science and open opinions have been long accepted. Why haven't we seen what we have seen through fossils? Observe your own body and think to yourself could a complex being like yourself just started with the 6 main elements for life? There is something out there. "A higher power". Let's think outside of this world for example forces. Did you know that even if the force of gravity was a little stronger by decimals. Life wouldn't exist as we know it.

Dawinism has been disproven several times. They have simulated the basic building blocks to create human life and failed several times. Many great scientific minds have diverted their attention elsewhere to find the answers and some have been cited for feeling like its a waste of time and resources to chase the theory of evolution also stating evolution is becoming more like a religion now. Give it up. Look elsewhere. Most of the scientific community is.

2 RepliesI am religious, and i believe in science. Whos to say that god doesnt use science to intervene in the world? He could have used evolution to create adam and eve. He could have used whatever scientific forces to create the big bang theory. I love science, but i am christian. I belive religion in science could go hand in hand if you are open minded enough to understand.
