I don't know what to do in Destiny?
So right now I'm a level 26 titan and I really don't have a clue what to do. I keep doing strike playlists and it just gets really repetitive. I want to upgrade my light level fast because I want to do the Vault Of Glass and I've already purchased The Dark Below. Doing strike playlists doesn't really even give me anything and I haven't gotten a legendary engram or an exotic once! All I keep getting as 'rewards' at the end of strikes are rare engrams that when I decode, give me a weapon that I already have. I'm close to dropping this game because I keep doing the same strike playlists over and over to increase my light level but I never get any good armor or weapons. Any tips to increase my light level fast?
EDIT: Currently I'm level 28 for those who don't know.

Do Vanguard strikes until you get 100 marks (this will take about 2 weeks to buy all the gear). 3. Buy gear from Vanguard vendors. 4. Level up gear by doing bounties. 5. Reach level 31 and then go straight to CE. 6. Get lucky and get all raid gear for 32. 7. Get shards and level up gear. 8. Rinse and repeat on other characters. Also I find it hilarious how you're going to drop the game because you have to grind. Destiny was a grinding game from the start honestly you should of known this when buying it.

1 ReplyVanguard marks and bounties. If you're running tons of strikes you should be able have a couple three pieces of light 33 gear.

Ive got over a month total playtime on the same damn 7 or 8 strikes and 2 raids. There are raid finders on the forums who might embrace it. Ive carried 28s along, just dont die at Crota too much stay inside and practice your dance moves. If youre luck youll get 1 or 2 CE armor drops, which you must now grind shards for (21 per armor piece). But even 1-2 piece's base light should be enough to get them 29/30 and into raids. Vault easy, hard if youre 30+, Crota easy, hard only if you have a carry team. Wouldnt hurt to have 3 characters for radiant material acccumulation, youll need 84 shards per character per raid set to reach level 32.

Edit: also, blue gear from strikes won't get you any higher level than you are right now. You need legendaries from either vanguard/crucible vendor or raid drops. You can occasionally get lucky with legendary weapon engrams from strikes but it's generally not worth the time if that's all you're looking for. You're better off grinding marks to buy weapons from vendors and if you happen to snag a good weapon from strike rewards it's icing on the cake.

I got carried the whole way by these 5 generous guardians (albeit i got -blam!- all) and they still downed him in 2 swords lol. Some people on here are up for a challenge, so dont mind carrying a low level to help out. Also use your vanguard marks to buy gear, a full set will bump u to 31 when its upgraded

Do bounties and level up the gear so you reach level 31. Then do the Crota raid to get light 36 gear hit level 32.

Also if xur the guy that comes every Friday until Sunday if he has a good Titan exotic like glass house or ruin wings or something along those lines then buy it but those are the only two Titan exotics I would recommend other than helm of saint 14

1 ReplyWhat I did was I farmed vanguard rank and bought a full set of vanguard armor and a few vanguard weapons, played crucible when I was bored of strikes and such, and got a few legendary crucible weapons, then once I had full legendary gear that I upgraded moderately I researched the Vault of glass raid and started looking for groups. Found groups and ran vault until I had the weapons I wanted and got a few exotics from chests. I don't have the dlc yet so I can't hit 32 but I have good gear none the less, so now I'm just leveling weapons until I get my next check and can buy dlc. This game is a farm fest a lot of the time, repetitive stuff, but one way I stay interested is to raid every weak in hopes of weapons I don't have, playing crucible try hard mode with my best gear, and mixing up what weapons I'm using. Every weapon is a little different than another and they all require you to play a little differently (Ex: Aiming down sight with patience and time then peaking around a corner while invis to get a kill, opposed to sitting in one spot hoping for someone to come in your line of sight like you would while sniping with praedyths revenge) and make some friends in crucible and make friends with people in looking for group forums and such. If you find someone whose looking for a group in a forum, chances are they really enjoying playing the game, playing crucible and raiding with people you've become friends with COMPLETELY changes the game, it's a lot more fun and laid back than when you first find a group for a raid and everyone is a little awkward around each other and they just want to beat the raid, as where with people your comfortable around, are much more chill and honestly easier. Sorry for long post haha in short: 1.Rank up a faction of your choice (Dead orbit; New monarchy; future war cult; vanguard; crucible) 2.Look for groups for raids and nightfalls 3.Make friends while in crucible and raids and nightfalls, join a clan even. 4.mix up what weapons you use to keep it fresh.

Do the weekly till you can buy 1 exotic piece.(anything besides gauntlets.) do eris morn qyest to get her legendary gauntlets. This give you 2 high level pieces of gear. Sounds like you probablybhave enough marks to buy stuff. Worry about gear now. Weapons will eventually come. So lets say you buy the exotic helmet and get the eris gaunlets. Now you only need chest and boots. You probably have enough marks to buy 1 or the other, lets say yiu buy the chest. Then next week buy the boots. Now you should be able to hit 31. Dont turn in any bounties untill you have all your gear and possibly get carried threw the nightfall.

Also you get legendary gauntlets from Eris morn for completing her urn of sacrifice. I would recommend doing that.

Also, grinding reputation to Lvl 2 will allow you to purchase lvl 31 armor from factions. But upgrading the armor is also necessary to gain light levels, but I'd only do it for lvl 31-32 quality armors Edit: commendation medals is gonna be a pain in the ass especially this early in the endgame. Having another character preferably another Titan can make the grind easier, you van just delete later on if you want to play another class

Save up for vanguard armor or faction armor with stats you need. Level that legondary armor which will get you to 30. Start doing VoG and Crota and replace your armor as you get new gear. Supplement with the occasional exotic from Xur.

4 RepliesYou don't really need to farm strikes anymore. I run public events for marks, it's easier and you can farm rep from missions while you're at it, plus the chance to get purple balls and energy. [url=http://www.example.com] http://destinypublicevents.com[/url] Farm rep and marks to get some armor upgrades, personally I just do Vanguard instead of factions, but that's just me. You'll replace it with Crota gear not long after, but that's the progression we've got right now. Unless you've got some friends to carry you through Crota and skip the Vanguard gear, this is what I'd do.

Bounties, and strike play lists. Get your rep up to lvl 2 to buy gloves and feet. I was in the same boat as you for a couple of weeks until I realized what I had to concentrate on. Once you hit 27 legendaries tend to drop more often; for me anyways.
